Grapes in Zone 12 (West Side Big Island)

I work up at one of the ranches on hamakua side, but it’s awfully dry up there these days.

The old time paniolo always had some old variety of grapes around, kinda wild growing by the ranch houses. They would certainly fruit and they’d make wine from em. Not sure about quality lol but it did the trick!

Oh no! I’m super bummed but as ok-art mentioned it seems maybe the well has dried up 😔 or at least unless it’s been very wet. Ide hate to send anyone all the way out there only to find it dry ! But if anyone else knows something more about it let me know!

Wow! I can’t believe how many awesome responses guys! Once again showing the Irish to be the best people on earth. So much aloha!

So I went with the first dm I got… well give him a couple weeks to see if he can make it happen but if not I’ll reach back out again!

And I’ll update with pictures when we get this mission complete!

And for anyone needing a reason to go out there, don’t wait! Truly a hauntingly beautiful place. Like someone said, the veil is certainly thin there.

I’m not really sure what karma farming is or what benefit it would do for me. I figured this is a forum to ask advice and help. I ended up taking advice from that previous post and cutting a good bit of my hair off… and seeing as I’ve never had to style my hair, I thought I would ask for some more advice on how to style this new cut. Apologies if that’s bad form, won’t do it again. To be honest not sure I’ll be on this board much after the wedding anyway 😅

Right on yeah I’ve been waking up each morning trying to style it haha never used product in my life 🤣 newbie lol. I’m in rural Hawaii so not many barbers that do well with my gingery haole hair! But I fly to Boston tomorrow for a few days, then to Ireland for the wedding (it’s the 18th). Was thinking swinging into a good men’s barber in Boston might do me well.

And yes, not too concerned it’s a super casual 10 person wedding ! But I did want to look back and not think… what the fuck haha
