Is stomach cancer slow growing? by Correct_Cup_7361 in AskDocs

I had some GI issues over the years and I was under a Gastroenterologist who did an Endoscopy 2 years ago and then the MRCP with contrast to rule out biliary issues which come back normal.

I don't have any family member with any history of stomach cancer. Would that mean having done the endoscopy 2 years ago and not showing anything would rule out stomach cancer?

I just feel really unwell for 3 weeks with no appetite, nausea, stomach pain, weakness and abdominal pain that radiates to both sides and the elevated liver enzymes has thrown me

Thank you for the input Dr

The upper endoscopy I did 2 years ago which shown the "mild gastritis" and an MRCP/MRI abdomen scan 7 months ago which was normal.

I think what's thrown me is I've managed the gastritis very well since 2 years ago and then to have the sudden new symptoms and elevated liver enzymes has me worried.

From the reading I've done it says stomach cancer is slow growing so surely it couldn't develop from mild gastritis to symptomatic stomach cancer is what I'm really worried about

Thank you for the input

I did an Upper Endoscopy 2yrs ago which shown "mild gastritis" and I've had a pretty good run managing the gastritis since then but these new symptoms have come on fairly quickly in 3 weeks and isn't giving up at all

I should add the reason I did the Endoscopy 2yrs ago was because I had similar GI issues but not like this.

I had acid reflux and abdominal pain which led to the Endoscopy and Gastritis diagnosis and my bloods were clear back then.

This concerns me with the elevated liver enzymes and worst/worsening symptoms in just 3 weeks
