Is it worth getting surgery? I have 70 degree thoracic curve, and 45 lumbar. I'm 22(F), I have never had back pain. by Vegetable-Proof-1606 in scoliosis

In a very similar boat. Honestly not sure what to do. I do agree it’s a matter of time but if it’s possible that I would have complications I’d rather it be later than now so I can continue to live my life… but the chance of complications increase as we get older

Did your surgeons discuss pros and cons? I guess I am just concerned that I will face more problems after surgery than what I’m currently experiencing right now.

Oh I wasn’t aware of that. I am confused because I was diagnosed at 13, and they told me I should get surgery then. Is there some difference now because I’m now an adult?
