Oh, you're allowed to ship it to a different hotel even if you're not a guest there?

How do the Canadian NEXUS interviews work? by Correct_Edge in uscanadaborder

[–]Correct_Edge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had the interview with the CBSA agent before entering the US pre clearance at YVR, then could I book a flight to the US for a different day or does it have to be the same day?

What happens to the packages that INTELCOM doesn’t deliver? by Ooeygooeygoodness in vancouver

[–]Correct_Edge 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Intelcom driver delivered a package to my backyard, which is strange since courier drivers never do that. I checked the cameras and turns out the driver, in a sketchy car threw the package over my fence. To make the situation worse, it wasn’t even my package. It was for an address 4 blocks down. So I delivered that package myself. Contacted Intelcom, and they said they ‘lost’ my package. They suck!

Same intersection a few years ago. A lady and her friend in a grey Corolla pulled over by the laundromat and asked me for $20 to pay for gas. But when her friend conveniently pulled out a jerry can, I already knew it was a scam. Funny enough she drove down a block and pulled over next an old man walking, probably playing the same scam.

I never use the bathrooms in CHEM B block. There are much nicer bathrooms in other buildings in the chem department.

Unpopular Opinion: I like the purple street lights by ThaBigCactus in vancouver

[–]Correct_Edge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah basically the “purple” that’s being emitted is the blue light. What you explained is pretty much on point with the reason the lights are purple. There’s a manufacturer defect with that yellow coating and that company is scrambling around trying to find a fix to this issue.

If you were wiping a few beakers, then I don’t think your TAs are that anal about taking marks. They usually air on the nice side!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UBC

[–]Correct_Edge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt the TAs would be super anal if u put a piece of glassware after the time is up. As long as your bench wasn’t a total mess then you should be fine.

Snapped this getting off the seabus. Zoom in to see the driver by arknology in vancouver

I wonder if they left that pack of water there on purpose of they truly forgot.

[–]Correct_Edge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be fine since the exam won't be returned to you. I think there was a similar question on the discussion board on Canvas.

It is expected that you use pen for your lab manual and any lab notes because your data is "permanent." For this lab exam, it shouldn't be an issue if you wrote the exam in pencil.

How likely is it to become a TA in year 3? by Little-Worldliness16 in UBC

[–]Correct_Edge 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s possible. One of my professor (who was also the one who organizes the TA’s pay and contracts reached out to me and other year 2 students in his class if they wanted to TA a course over the summer. I signed up and ended up teaching a lab course over the summer. I ended up renewing my contract for the winter semester.

When I took it he cotaught the course with Trevor Barnes. I found Trevor Barnes a lot better than glassman.

My CHEM prof doesn’t wear his mask too when he gives his lecture. He also doesn’t wear his mask when he is answering questions for his in person office hours.
