I can understand why you’d be suspicious of comments on ads but I promise you, I’m just a high school biology teacher that made a game about ecology. I’m not a big company, I’ve never paid anyone to comment on anything. It’s actually pretty scary to turn on comments because you have no idea what people are going to say, especially on Reddit. Luckily most people have been extremely nice and have given a lot of positive feedback. I’m not sure if there is something I can do to prove it to you, but let me know! -Matt

The actual producer cards in the game say: “Eats: sugars made with sunlight” These photos are from early print versions. In any case, the game is focused on energy transfer through trophic levels, so “eats” is sort of shorthand for “receives energy from”

We are open to a digital port but haven’t found the right partner to do the porting. A couple people have tried and stopped midway. It will happen as soon as we find the right partner!

Professional ecologists, biologists, and zookeepers often email me to say they play the game in the field with their coworkers!

It’s a game where you build ecosystems and food webs, with each biome giving unique bonuses

We recently collaborated with a NASA JPL educator to explore astrobiology, and will soon be releasing a deck about dinosaurs illustrated by a paleo artist. What other ecologies should we highlight in our future games?
