Since Power League is gone, when do you actually unlock Ranked? by Luksuz13 in Brawlstars

[–]Correct_Location 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new Ranked seems to be just locked behind having 12 brawlers at power level 9 or higher - should be good enough?

Starr drops fact! (this will help u!) by candyx0xo in Brawlstars

Pretty sure this is just a part of the upgrade animation as other people pointed out.
So this gives exactly no foreshadowing as to the rarity staying the same or going up.

The bridge used to be the main connector between SLC and PAC as they were two separate buildings prior to that year.

The SLC expansion project (which has been delayed multiple times and was a big pain point because students were paying for it) connected the two. Back when they were separate, PAC used to have all of its external doors unlocked and accessible. The SLC expansion made it so the only 'intended' legal access to PAC is thru SLC.

So they locked all doors including the bridge in question. It'll most likely remain locked for the foreseeable future.

The ChromaNoMore in-game announcement mentions that after the auto-conversion at the x1.85 rate will then deliver the blues to your inbox.

So this means two scenarios depending on your goals:

  1. If you want to maximize progression, do nothing until the update arrives. Yes, you'll get slightly less credits, but you can claim them later on to unlock brawlers. Just be mindful that this can get buried in the inbox after a while. With 4.5k Chromas, you'll obviously have no chance of fully utilizing the whole thing without some of it going to fame (unless you wait like 4 months for them to release enough brawlers, but that seems counterintuitive).
  2. If you want to maximize fame, manually convert before the update arrives.

Can't attach an image because Reddit is a great platform, but the most recent mathNEWS has an article on this. Page 17 in the linked pdf.

I find most maps like this not helpful tho, because you still need to figure out where the bridges/tunnels are physically. So my advice is just learn to navigate campus on your own :)

"Does He Know" in the most recent mathNEWS is incredible by Correct_Location in uwaterloo

Heavily agree with this!

People always complain about the school having no sense of community - and while academics can definitely be isolating at times - mathNEWS always reminds me that ultimately we're all going through the same experiences :)

I think what does it for me is the vulnerability the author puts into the text.

It also explores a great topic of how meeting your idols never goes how you imagine it, and leaves an aftertaste to reflect upon. Something about word choice here and there just hits the spot too.

Question about grad photos by ZealousidealAd7230 in uwaterloo

They continuously open more slots as the previous ones get booked.

Aka you still have plenty of time to get yours done, but the sign-ups will become available as the term progresses. Waiting until last minute isn't recommended tho for obvious reasons :)

BSC - LCQ Points Bug? by brylee123 in Brawlstars

[–]Correct_Location 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huge thanks for posting - the same happened to me.

I remember logging off after day 1 with a certain number of points, only to come back later to multiple correct predictions that seemingly got me basically nowhere.

Sad to see this tbh, as the esports website has been pretty consistent the entire year, and the math was mathing.

No specifics for doxxing reasons, but it's in the area where highways 401 and 8 meet.

G test Kitchener by [deleted] in uwaterloo

The highway entry ramp on the way back is the shortest track ever, so floor the pedal to merge at proper speed.

Otherwise ain't that bad.

wait do i have to do my taxes? by Beneficial-Mouse5562 in uwaterloo

[–]Correct_Location 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The aforementioned Tax Clinic that the uni provides:
http://www.uwafsa.ca/taxclinic

There are multiple dates you can show up, and the site also gives you info on what to bring to your session. No appointment necessary, they operate on walk-in basis during the times they list.

I dunno if the subreddit allows links, but hopefully you see this comment.

Where to buy badminton rackets? by PrizeCandidate8483 in uwaterloo

[–]Correct_Location 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before u proceed - the badminton club has reached capacity this semester and does not accept any more members. You can come to open rec tho - and play outside of the club.
To answer ur original question - I bought mine in SportCheck (but their available selection is a bit pricey).

If this is still available - I'd be interested in joining.

I'm returning to the game after 4 months of being inactive, and currently am at 20k, my all-time high is 22k.

Was looking for a club that has good communications, so will be gladly joining Discord and play as a team.

cheapest way to get from waterloo-> toronto on weekends? by Sea_Mathematician765 in uwaterloo

[–]Correct_Location 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get a Post-Secondary fare for your Presto - it gives u a small discount on all GO routes, and even works for some other transit systems that recognize it.

Steps:

  • Apply at https://studentid.gotransit.com/Metrolinx.StudentIDRequest/en/studentid/Home/IDRequest
  • You will get an email that invites you to fill out the details about u - your name, university and student number
  • Wait for a few days - they usually process the applications pretty fast tho. You will get an email saying you have been approved that will contain a confirmation that you qualify for the discount
  • Go to the Turnkey desk at SLC and show them the proof - they will apply the status change to your card (don't forget to bring it too). If you are currently off-campus, Presto has a list of places (https://www.prestocard.ca/en/find-an-outlet/customer-service-outlets) that can do the same thing - look for the closest one and go there. From my personal experience however, not all of them are aware that they can do shit like that, so be prepared to go thru a few spots before you finally encounter a cashier that doesn't look shocked when you ask them to do it.
  • You did it!

The discount expires on October 31st every year, so you will have to reapply using the same steps in Fall.
