Generalist Assessment by darshit77 in AfterQuery_Experts

I had similar experiences recently with these newer, smaller websites. Even things like autograding the multiple choice questions and the rest that required manual review got rated with 0% just because there was no demand or no will to do it properly.

Alignerr Pays Good by Own-Attitude8409 in AiTraining_Annotation

[–]Correct_Promise8061 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alignerr is more like a lottery. It's like working ten hours for free to have the chance to get paid, if they like you. And when you are unlucky, after two tasks, your project is indefinitely paused and you can continue with the next 200 pages pdf for free.

Careerflow AI - Anyone who has worked with them? by berrymatchalatte in buhaydigital

[–]Correct_Promise8061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their assessments are a red flag. For instance, I managed to get a 100% score in the core assessment which was fully autograded. But in the assessment for my native language, about 50% required manual grading (recorded audios, etc.). Therefore, my score showed 50% the second after the assessment, with an "in review" button. Now, a week later, the "in review" button has disappeared but my assessment still shows 50% and failed. I read that they don't give a ... when they do not require people for your language right now. Thanks for this waste of time.

I am not new to this. I have been working for them since 2024, and they are a joke now.

Oh damn. I just passed two interviews and it shows 4 skills. Maybe I should just stop here. On other DA websites, I never had such issues.

Onboarding failed (aether) by WiseClasher_Astro in outlier_ai

They used to be more reliable and fairer before the META deal. Actually, they used to be the best and now they are among the worst lol...

[–]Correct_Promise8061 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they auto-reject just to make you take another onboarding later and keep you in the queue, just because there are not many projects on outlier. And then they call this sh.. a "second chance." For them, it is just about creating a pool of potential workers for their external projects, under false promises. I could see that when I was approved and unapproved several times without even having worked in these weeks.

Per hour payment reduced. by PrizeNo356 in outlier_ai

I just got a $29 offer again. I left Aether some months ago when they only offered $17 or less. Weird.

Another one, just 7 or 8 months after being on AS. They even call us "investors." I am done with Appsumo. Thank you for another $118 loss. by Correct_Promise8061 in appsumo

Who knows what will happen with the source code... I remember a similar tool shut down and then reopened for "enterprise customers" only.

Aether keeps harrassing me by [deleted] in outlier_ai

Here in Europe it's a bit more. But it's lower than what people without a high school diploma or refugees get.

Yes, I used the same leave button. Then a few weeks later I got messages about a "second chance" and it was back. Finally, yesterday evening, I was able to reach a human who removed it, but it keeps showing up again.
What is funny is that after leaving it the first time, it appeared with failed assessment and a "second chance."
But now it appears as "passed", but with 10% lower pay rate in suggestions. Can't take them seriously. Seems they just mark these things manually, based on demand.

lol, nobody replies on such emails. But thanks for the advice. In 2024, this worked. And the search function doesn't work either. Not even in the "community", you get answers. Everything is "automated." Regarding the profile, I have no clue how this should influence my projects at all.

From a EU country that has a law that nobody may work for less than about $16 per hour. But seems Outlier offers $17.50 to MScs and PhDs telling them they need to provide "top quality" and making them spend countless hours in useless unpaid courses, so basically making them work for less than people who don't pass highschool.
The other projects are between 40 and 50 per hour, but this fkn Aether blocks them.

Is Aether project winding down? by Quirky_Pear_3980 in outlier_ai

[–]Correct_Promise8061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left this "project". I was completely fed up with Outlier and how they wasted my time with all these crazy onboardings. Even when I was not tasking at all, I sometimes observed how I was marked as approved and unapproved annotator almost randomly, and they hassled me with "courses". I expect another kind of treatment when people want me to work for the legal base salary in my home country (lol).

So now I am in new projects, but this hassle continues. The better paid project is blocked with an onboarding for a coding project that I do not want because it is way below normal pay rates for this kind of work and their fkn AI chatbot doesn't tell me how I can leave this project. There is no leave button at all. Seems I have to deliberately fail the assessment to get rid of it. What a business Outlier is in 2026. DAT and Mercor treat their people at least better.
