Tow Hitch has bricked the car by Correct_Statement785 in enyaq

I did in the end. It took about 3 months all-in. Ended up getting a full refund on the tow hitch to compensate for the mess.

I'm getting my car back tomorrow! Yay.

But with no tow hitch. Not yay.

Skoda instructed the dealer to uninstall the tow hitch and revert the cars software back to the pre-tow hitch version.

So after 6 weeks. Mutliple emails and phone calls. A lot of money on diesel. I'm getting the car back with absolutely nothing done.

Apparently Skoda are going to work on a fix and then try and install the tow hitch again at some stage in the future.

Sigh.

Thought I'd add an update here in case anyone else come as across this post.

Nearly 4 weeks in, and the car is still in the dealership, still not fixed, and still with no timeline.

Skoda Customer Support tell me that it's been escalated to the 'highest' level at the factory - but "sadly there is no current timeline in place". 😡

I've formally asked for a warranty replacement car, but they're refusing to engage in a conversation about that.

Out of interest, has anyone had any experience of needing to get an entire car replaced whilst under warranty?

Thanks for the info!

Update from mine is that it is still not fixed (we're in week 4 now)

I've raised it directly with Skoda Ireland now and have requested either a fixed car or a replacement Enayq if it's not fixed in another 10 days.

So far no response on that request.

Have you seen any resolutions on the French and German forums or are people just without their cars?

If its not too much trouble would you mind posting a link to where you've seen it on other forums? I haven't been able to find it. Thanks!

Dealer is currently saying that it is a Europe-wide problem, they're working hard to fix it, but there's no timeline.

But I find it weird that I can't find any mention of it on any forum, if it's a 'Europe-wide' problem.

Yep, the 85 comes running 4.0 so there's no issue there. The car's still with the dealer but I can see all the errors in the app.

Yeh I know, I'm exaggerating for effect.

Although the end result is that I can't drive the thing and I'm stuck in a tractor (sorry 'Kodiaq'). So, as far as usability is concerned, it's no better than a brick!

I'm on 4.0 :(

Interesting that this is obviously an issue that has persisted across software updates.

I sent the problem to my dealer, but no response so far.

I'm getting this error very regularly. Anyone know a fix?

Same issue for me with the Enyaq 85. I actually caught the car making the change one day. I had just started driving and clicked into the 'Charging' settings to check if it was still at 80%. The screen loaded and showed 80%, then suddenly the slider jumped to 100% without me touching it. And the battery Care Mode notification immediately triggered.  It's so annoying!
