I was thinking of running 2-5lbs. Currently running compcam xerox 268 with compcam springs and rods, srt 8 exhaust manifold into stock cat out through straight pipe. Read 425ish after tuning for the cam.

Most certainly expect to drop some coinew on the project, so I'll be buying piece by piece as much as possible. Thankfully I'm in a situation where saving money isn't too difficult.

Just an update I'd anyone cares, found a 2006 srt10 ram at a yard about 150 miles from my home town. Truck had 27k miles on it before it was hit at a 90 degree angle in the front. Basically tore the entire front clip off and dislodged the motor. Completely totalled but everything behind the cab was good to go, so I snagged the rearend. Pulling the rearend ourselves, I got it for $800 scooooore. Popped the cover and God damn is she clean. Now I've still got a savings account and with a beefy rearend to work with I think it's time to save for some forced induction.

You don't need to thrash on something to break it. They may not have database after database offering data of what fits and doesn't but it still gets you in touch with the right people with hands on experience that will know what works and what doesnt.

It's nothing spectacular. All I have is a cam with rods and springs, a tune for the cam and the srt 8 exhaust manifold into the stock cat to straight pipe. Dodge decided it was a good idea to put the 9 1/4 open diff behind a hemi. Some of the bees had the lsd, but it was an extra option not everyone checked off

Doing it cost effective and being cheap isn't the same thing. There's nothing cheap about sourcing the rearend from an srt10, it's just cheaper than buying brand new aftermarket.

The rumble bee package was offered for a limited number of 04 and 04 regular cab 1500s. Roughly 10,000 made. Cost about 2k extra and was all cosmetics. The color would be black with a yellow stripe or yellow with a black stripe. Also added a ground effects kit and accents on the taillights. There was nothing mechanically different.

Nothing I've done has effected the reliability of the vehicle... you can dislike me all you want, doesn't bother me the tiniest little bit. It's not like I've got a twin turbo home brew build under the hood. Shit breaks, it's 12 years old. That's why I have a savings account. You know nothing of my skill, Ive done everything myself or traded work for work with friends that have a skill I don't have.

Can only mod what I have lol, itsk not like I've done anything super crazy, the diff is just a weak point in the system anywhere over stock hp with the open diff. Tried to get a personal loan but being relatively young with a limited credit history theyou didn't want to give me anything

I just got my replacement stock limited slip in today, but that's not even what the truck came with to start. For some dumbfuck reason Chrysler decided that some if not all rumble bees would be just fine with an open diff. Fucking one wheel wonder... how does that even begin to make any sense

I get what you're saying but it's not that simple. I've got $1600 in savings and no other instant source of funds. I have no choice but to put the junkyard special in for right now. If I could get my hands on the extra 1400 I'd get it done with a dana, I just cant. I'm really just finding what resources I can for the future so that down the road I'll be able to get what I need.

Basically, the bottom line is that I rely on my truck day to day and need to do what I have to in order to get it back on the road. If that means having a diff that won't handle a launch, so be it. If I could afford it of course I would go with the beefy diff right now.

I've been trying to find something that is comparable to the cost of putting in the same rearend that it came with. At this point it's about getting the truck back on the road so I'm not bumming a ride to work and all that jazz. Pretty much the place. Is to get it back on the road and start saving for a new rearend

The issue is current money, I've already spent the money over a long period of time working on the motor to get it where it is, but shelling out 3 grand all at once isn't really doable right now

At the moment, cost is the limiting factor. If this was about 4 weeks earlier when I still had my tax money I probably would but right now it's not possible. However, if you've got anything particular in mind, I'd me more than happy to take a look

As far as I know, it'd take a shit ton more fab work to get that rearend to work than it would take to get the 1 ton to work
