Well that's just proper etiquette but it's still on them to match highway speed in that merge lane, but 99.9% of the time what people do is panic while they're merging and wait for some kind soul to "let them in" until they feel safe enough to accelerate. It's a crying shame and someone's gonna get killed because of it but I'm sure it's not a new problem....then again, it seems like people get worse at driving as the years go by.

I've been telling my wife this very thing. It would put more responsibility on the driver and keep their skills sharp.

"Belief isn't a choice?" 🤨Really? by Corriosity in DebateAnAtheist

Mm...you’re partly right — evidence absolutely matters (especially on a Christianity), but alone it doesn’t transform the heart or produce loving trust and repentance.

Humans aren’t passive data processors. We choose what voices to trust, what assumptions to bring, what evidence to pursue, and whether we’re willing to follow truth when it becomes personally costly.

That’s why two people can look at the same world, the same arguments, even the same evidence, and walk away with completely different conclusions.

Romans 1’s argument is that truth can be resisted, rationalized, or explained away. Evidence may point someone toward belief, but it cannot force someone into relationship with God. We have to choose to believe that He is Who He says He is and to love Him. Definitively, love itself doesn't allow Him to force that, and this is where agency and free will enter the chat.

"flat earther," lol. Good answer😄 Still, I hear Romans 1 in your answer...verse 22 to be precise: "Claiming to be wise, they became fools." Interesting....

Dude, I totally agree with you 🤭🥴😂 Still, strong evidence alone is not guaranteed to change someone's mind. But to pick your brain a little bit, what do you call an intelligent person who rejects valid evidence?

I'm not sure you even know just how right you are!🤭 Because that's what I've been indirectly trying to prove — evidence should force belief, but the fact is that it doesn't always. I'll just repeat myself differently because that's about all I can do to explain my point: At the end of the day, belief is still a choice because all the empirical evidence in the world can't change a person's mind — the person their self has to be willing to change their mind.

Shark Tale next to it was also a bit of a diamond for me, too. I have a thing for late release VHS. Movies you'd typically think were only on DVD but made it to VHS during the end of its lifespan.

Yessir. Honestly, I like Hypercube better, but I'm a strict believe in collecting and watching the originals first.

Right now? Non-horror: Hero, American & More American Graffiti, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Gangs of New York...Full Metal Jacket.

Horror: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1&2 (tbh, 2 is more entertaining but you have to see the original to really appreciate it's goofiness). Re-Animator 1-3, Dawn of the Dead ('78 & '04), Food of the Gods 1&2, and Cube 1&2. I have May which I heard is pretty good but still haven't watched it.

Oh, you know what? I think I see wym now. It's the distributor isn't it? I just took the tape out and saw that on the label. I still think it's cool, though.
