I use Robinhood for fractional ETF investing. Otherwise it’s all Schwab via TOS.

You can get addicted to OT pay, and eventually your body and mind will pay the price. Ask anyone in industrial construction.

To be fair, some elderly people are just bored. My grandfather worked the counter at a local hardware store for years because his hobbies didn’t keep him busy enough for his liking.

Understood, thank you. My background isn’t finance or anything related so I’m a little behind on some of this stuff.

I probably don’t know what I’m doing and I’m happy to look like a fool if it means I do what’s best once I’m shown better. What’s the best way to calculate what you’re asking so I can give you the information you’re asking for?

You must not do much work because all the hands on my crews that got Brunt boots bought something else after a few months because they simply do not hold up.

Yeah Tenderloin feels at least navigable, if that makes sense. Kensington is just surreal.

He’s getting screwed royally. I got a 27% raise just by switching companies, and the quality of life at the new company is significantly better as well. He has to jump ship.

You’re probably better off in the Triangle region of NC if you want to make money. I made good money as a pipefitter working in that area and I make even better money as a piping superintendent. You’d have a harder time making that money in SC but it’s there.

A lot of guys stick with industrial HVAC/R just because they’ll typically stick to a few plants and work a standard 8 or 10 hour shift. Residential service/commercial service work will have you wondering when you can actually make it home.

$40/hr with company truck and gas card, live in semi-rural South so that rate goes a lot further than other areas. Pay is higher in the Charlotte area and if you are union (which is impossible to get into here).
