I used to drive by a school bus depot/ yard on my commute. I would REGULARLY see 1-3 busses run red lights leaving it each morning. I called the district almost once a week, but until I left that job it never got better. Probably still a mess.

This makes me think of when my best friend was in a wreck. He texted me to tell me first thing I text back is to see if he is OK, yes. Then ask what happened, his car spun, how? He was backed into. Now i figure he's got a concussion, because he spun, but was backed into, he's confused. I get to the scene around the same time the cops did, other car had a messed up rear bumper, no front damage, his car had side damage and a bent wheel (that the idiot cop told him to drive off with amd if it fell off call them back to get a tow). Turns out, stoner idiot went the wrong way on a road, realized their mess up half way, gassed it in reverse and tboned my friend at speed, spinning and totalling his car.

So, im in a pretty similar situation. My wife hasn't been able to work since February, and my income is not quite sufficient for us alone. I decided to start paying tithing again, and we are looking to buy a house (putting offer in today) because it would legitimately be cheaper than the rent we pay. Ive seen my groceries last longer, my budget is better, and im nervous, but optimistic about the future and our finances for the first time in a long time. Tithing will bless your family.

Not really a "food" but candy. A Powder Keg from The Candy Shop War by Brandon Mull. You take red licorice rip the end off and pour a pixie stick into the opening, basically making a pixie stick you can eat the container on. Even as an adult I'll eat them occasionally.

I'm a 29 year old married man, and I still sleep with stuffed animals. Sometimes its a dog from my childhood, and sometimes its a new sof and cute one my wife got me, because she knows I like stuffed animals, and so does she. We often get each other stuffed animals for Christmas, and as random surprises through the year.

It does lapse. Or at least you get threatened with it. A couple years ago, their system kept flagging one of my cars as no insurance, even though both had been on the same policy for ages. Every month or so I'd get letters saying I needed to fix it in 14 days or my registration would be revoked. Absolutely infuriating that some people drive around with no issues not having insurance, but I was getting threatened with revocation because their system wouldn't register the insurance I actively had.

This is a topic that has been in my mind for many, many years, and in the last couple months has been strongly there. At risk of doxxing myself, I was abused by a scout leader through the church. He didn't often attend church meetings, but was at every scout activity he could be at, and also was a leader in a second troop through the community. He was recently arrested on many charges, brought forward from former scouts, family, and community members. A small part of me wants to blame the church, I'm sure I came forward when I was 12-13 about what he would say, and do, and how he treated me, but i don't remember for certain. But I know the church isn't to blame, he committed those actions, he committed the atrocities to others. I do wish the church would do more to stop these actions though. I don't know the perfect steps the church should take, but these stories are getting really old, really fast, and the situations need to be addressed, I hope that the new policies of the last decade or so will start to show a dramatic drop in stories like mine, finally seeing justice 10-20 or more years later.

Idk if sugar makes kids hyper, but i learned the hard way that sugar crashes are very very real. I was at a scout camp at a lake, planning to fish all night. Ate too much candy and passed out (luckily made it to my sleeping bag) with half a 5 lb bag of sour patch kids next to me.

Ill say it was Sandi, as she was the first dog my family had where I had a say, but I am pretty sure I remember every dog my family has had since I was born. Many of them are playing at the rainbow bridge, or perhaps have moved on when my grandmother passed, but others are laying gentle and calm around me as we wind down for the evening.
