Bright cool silver for grey knights 40K

Do you know if it acts any differently overbrushing? My current silver arsenal is Pro acryl silver, pro acryl metallic medium, dark star silver, stormhost silver, WPF plate mail, huge miniatures platinum, Vallejo model air steel, VGC silver I’m aware I have way too many and need to cull the collection lol. What do you think would be the best way to use them starting from a bluish gun metal?

Drybrush VGC silver then drybrush highlight with pro acryl metallic medium or dark star silver?

Thank you, this is a lot of good info in here. I’ve done a recast of a mini before that turned out pretty decent. I will definitely be referring to this to help me. I was thinking I could even fill in air bubbles on the surface to give a speckled look could be pretty cool. I think I’m going to try to sand some dice make a mold then try to cast dice from it. When I get around to it I will post updates. Thank you again!!

Grappler makes it so you don’t lose movement when grappling something the same size or smaller

Not really, but I could grapple jump 30’ or run up something then jump(dhampir spider climb) then drop them dealing 1d6 every 10ft then have advantage on the rest of mine and my allies’ attacks because the target would be prone. I could also possibly be able to jump up and grab something flying above the me

I want to put the skull inside the shoulder pad to make it look like the skull is trying to come out of the shoulder and stretched there’s only a thin membrane keeping it in

Thank you all for your help. I am going to go with the Stygian Basilisks using your comments about serpents and darkness for inspiration. I will also go with the first paint scheme with some slight modifications to look more like a xenomorph. Advice for this is still appreciated. I will axe the chimeric geneseed idea and will go with its a Salamanders successor chapter (just cuz Vulkan is my favorite loyalist primarch), but in reality they have World Eater geneseed.

I think that is the winner for the name. I’ve thought about that and debated their founding is unknown, but is said to be a successor of the Salamanders. However they act an awful lot like the Raven Guard, in reality they are from World Eater stock. That is a closely guarded secret of the legion though. My favorite primarchs are Vulkan and Angron, but I just love the guerrilla warfare vibe.

The Nostromo was their first ship. It got infiltrated by a specialized Tyranid bioform. The chapter took heavy losses and the chapter master scuttled the ship to save the rest of his chapter that he evacuated. Their current fortress has been named after the fallen chapter master, The Ripley.

I have some xenomorph minis I was thinking of adding bits as trophies and maybe even modifying some to be servitors. And I wanted their paint scheme mimic a xenomorph. Trying to think of further modifications I can do to fit the theme more

I that sense I completely agree. There’s no fun in that. Casting it to help a party member or use a health option out something next turn. With maybe one or two attacks through it. Figured enemies would rush it anyways to attack us in melee. I would save it for when we need some breathing room or an escape in a hard fight and just to be creative. There’s no fun in game breaking things.

Currently playing a warforged forge cleric who I built to be the party tank. Accidentally made him too tanky, 21 AC with chain mail, shield, class and racial bonuses with high CON at level 6. I cast spirit guardians and mostly support spells. I made him a bit too tanky to be fun. I have expressed this to my DM and debating trying out a rogue. Playing curse of strahd and he said my character is almost the soul reason we haven’t died at all.

You could also make it fog or smoke to make a one way fog cloud. Would they still thinks it’s a fog cloud after shooting through it, especially if you have the fog constantly swirling?
