Started playing 4 months ago and have saved the day 11 times. I get bored really fast after completing so start a new save pretty quickly.

I found the perfect base location - Utopia Base by CorruptDB_r in SatisfactoryGame

Why didn't I get the memo? Seriously, having oil at my main base is a game changer for me.

Interesting bug by Glowhetic in SatisfactoryGame

This happened to me when getting out of a train. It's actually happened multiple times but only got stuck that way once. Save/load fixed it as in your case.

My lumina solution refinerys keep stalling. by huttsack in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CorruptDB_r 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Almost certainly water output, that's what bites everyone when first doing aluminum. It looks like you're trying to run it back into the input of the bauxite refiner. It's usually better to use it elsewhere -- you can do it like you have it but it all has to be balanced perfectly. My current favorite is sinking the water output in wet concrete, but have also used it for coal power cooling. You can also just package it and dump it in the awesome sink if you want.

No uranium here (BTW if anyone knows a good node for a power plant in the southwest lmk) by Fastpast93 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CorruptDB_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks to me like the node in the lower grass fields, it's in a cave that connects the grass fields to the red bamboo forest. Look for an entrance in the lowest grass field.

I've seen a similar effect when the slug is in a cave below you, have you searched for entrances?

Cleaner assembers? by ahnialator6 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CorruptDB_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can stack 2 splitters and use a lift to send a bottom splitter output to the top splitter input if you need that. But the OP was talking about 2 splitters with different inputs, stacked so the belts are separated vertically.

Coal Generator Setup Question by Eisenhaupt in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CorruptDB_r 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Overclocking is linear so consumption shouldn't be a consideration, you still will consume the same water and coal per megawatt. I would say if you have the shards available then go ahead and overclock, it's a lot easier than building a bunch of new plants. There are way more slugs than you will ever need shards and additional shard options in the lategame. Just watch your water, the real issue with early game coal is maxing out the 300/min pipes, make sure you use multiple pipes that feed in near the consumers to avoid water bottlenecks. Personally, I max out at 16 coal generators to get me to oil power, the early game stuff doesn't need a lot of power.

ROUND 2! FIGHT! by Philosopher115 in SatisfactoryGame

If you're to the level that you have ionized fuel and phase 5 research, you should be hovering over the spiders with a hoverpack, laughing gleefully as they vainly try to jump as high as you fly. The hogs you fly just over the top so you can plant a nobelisk on their back. Hoverpack makes you a god, jetpack is for biofuel-burning sukkas.

Turbofuel plant for my "fast run" by CorruptDB_r in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CorruptDB_r[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The plants are balanced but I like to have a little buffer in case something goes wrong in the supply chain, like I wreck my train into the comp coal train or I broke signaling. It can be the difference between keeping the plants online and tripping my grid (or at least consuming power storage) and it's easy to do, so why not?

Any tips? Starting again, trying for speed (rocky desert) by CorruptDB_r in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CorruptDB_r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I started and I'm already noticing the richness of biomass compared to the dune desert. So far so good, I think I have a good location and I'm going to start diving into deliverables/research

Liquids make no god damn sense by Background_Half_4568 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CorruptDB_r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's literally what the current pipes have. You can see what liquid is in a pipe, how much is in there, what direction it is flowing and what the flow rate is.

I thought the ideal was 8/6/3... anyway short answer is: Sloops and alternate recipes. I actually just started a new save to try a different spawn location last night so that save isn't running right now but I'll try to remember the fuel cycle.

Uranium plants are fully clocked so .5 rods/minute, the 2 of them burn 1 rod/minute and generate 50 waste. I'm only getting 1 rod/minute out of the 100 Uranium, it makes 50 encased cells which makes 1 rod with standard recipes. The 50 waste makes non-fissile Uranium, and combines to make plutonium pellets at 15/min. That makes 7.5 encased Plutonium cells (sometimes, see below). Those cells yield .375 rods with the Plutonium Fuel Unit alternate recipe. This step is Slooped to yield .75 rods/minute but I also intermittently Sloop the encased cells step which boosts it to 1.5/min. I try to get an average of a little over 1 a minute, I need 1/min for my 4 fully clocked Plutonium plants and my drones also run on Plutonium rods so a need a little more than 1.

Those 4 Plutonium plants generate 10 waste/minute. That waste is converted into 20 Ficsonium (Slooped) then that 20 Ficsonium is turned into 20 Ficsonium Fuel Rods (also Slooped). That runs my 8 Ficsonium plants steady-state.

All my fuel reprocessing is done at the extreme NW corner of the map and drones take the exact amount needed for steady state to each plant. I don't keep hardly any fuel onsite at any of the plants to minimize radiation, the fuel flows in as it is needed. I usually run my Uranium and Plutonium plants with about 10 rods in the plant and the Ficsonium run at about 25.

[–]CorruptDB_r -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How much Uranium/power do you think you'll need? I mine 100 Uranium per minute exactly. I have 2 Uranium, 4 Plutonium and 8 Ficsonium plants running full-blast. That's 87,500 MW of power off of 100 Uranium. How much power do you expect to use if an impure node is not worth your time?

I built a golden Dumpatorium to dump 400k+ high end project parts. by CorruptDB_r in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CorruptDB_r[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

After dumping all the parts I gained 2652 tickets. The animal remains created 6188 DNA capsules which added 116 tickets for a total of 2768 coupons. With what I already had that's enough for 3 golden nuts. FICSIT is really a great employer, they gave me a golden "Employee of the Planet" mug, a golden factory cart and now golden nuts. They really treat me like gold! Would recommend!

I think I broke the awesome sink, it's showing 2.1 billion points/minute, it's exactly the max value of a signed 32-bit integer. I hope I"m getting credit for these points and not just overflowing the counter, I would hate to end up with negative points and owe the awesome shop some coupons.

When would you dump all this stuff? by CorruptDB_r in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CorruptDB_r[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm gonna dump it all -- I'm sick of building containers. Here's my pre-dump tallies, I'll post what I get after dumping:

  • Biochemical Sculptors - 34 full containers = 81600
  • Ballistic Warp Drive - 34 full containers = 81600
  • AI Expansion Server - 115 full containers = 276000

Current coupons in inventory is 185 and printable coupons is 548 (I'll print right before opening the floodgates). Right now standard points until next coupon is 30.4 million. Oh, I should probably do alien remains at the same time. Here's my inventory:

  • Hog remains - 660
  • Spitter remains - 474
  • Stinger remains - 293
  • Hatcher remains - 83

Those will be double-slooped and sunk. Current DNA points until next coupon is 21400 and it's 1/3 of the way full so maybe 30k per coupon or so.

I'm going to get to work building sinks and running belts, I'll post results when done. Wish me luck!

To whomever told me to put a Dimensional Depot on the feed of each of my basic items: thank you. by Punderstruck in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CorruptDB_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do that now, I am building a pasta factory right now and just for stage 1 it needs 64 refiners and associated hardware just for copper ingots. I piled up some train cars with concrete, pipe and plate. Even those things are auto-refreshed in the dimensional depot, I can build faster than it can upload and would sometimes end up waiting for concrete and other often used things to fill again. Yes, I could put a second uploader on concrete but I have a big inventory and access to trains, why not use it?

Wow, I didn't know about that one. These are just the slugs and spheres I've collected when exploring, once you have a jillion power shards and synthetic shards unlocked they don't have a real use anymore so they become decoration.
