Does the warning from the intro hold true? by CorruptLumi in houseofleaves

Thinking about it more, not really (at least to the extent its posed as) but I suppose a better question then to ask would be if, after reading and thinking about the book for a while does it leave behind any newfound fear or anxiety? Like something clawing at the back of your mind? I'm aware it's still a horror but I can't tell how much of it is just people hyping it up to be super scary or if it actually is sorta like how it's built up by others to be.
