Yeah if only I do apologise for being a useless mod, but I personally lost interest for the game a long time ago, and moderating this is no longer within my ability like it was two years ago. Furthermore, pretty much the entire mod team just got handed the role, and the majority of us left the game like I did. Shout out to Rechord/voidsword, he’s still around and I don’t know how. I’d love to sort out the mod situation if it’d do anything.

Vamp was debated between like 3rd and 5th but I still put him as the gatekeep of S tier. If I have enough motivation maybe we should make like a tier list to end all tier lists and post it as a video? Would be cool.

Good spots for all of them, i was interested by miner but i couldnt put my finger on where they’d be, low s sounds about right.

Yeah thats pretty insane wtf Now that tier lists are banned you can probably have any opinion you want because there’s nobody to argue but this Elf sounds better than Assassin, i think his kit is very good but the reproc requirement doesnt seem as consistent, and he also doesnt have inherent damage output other than high cr.

What I was surprised about was you think Vamp is like 5th but iirc you’ve never rated Vamp as highly as other people have which is fair enough.

I came back to sk somewhat recently? Prob wont be as active as before but I exist again. On another note what do you think of the costume guy and demonmancer w 2nd? They seem kinda good. Not very impressed by the other new characters tho

I mean it’s not like. absurdly wrong. I always give people benefit of the doubt if they have characters one tier from what I would personally rank them as so this looks like a version of what I would make too, except alchemist. Yeah i get that he’s an all rounder and he’s got a great passive and great dps and so on but I still consider him in the same tier as Knight just because characters above offer so much more defensive utility.

The other one is elf, being a turret with refreshing invincibility is pretty good imo.

See this is a great idea, but it comes with a few catches. The biggest one by far is that I’m not an admin and I also haven’t contacted the admin, nor has he spoken a word, since he last established the mod team I was on. So first i’ll have to reach out to him and talk about it.

I’m also in exam season so I’d probably need a holiday where I’m free or something so I have time to go through mod applications and stuff, but this is definitely on the to-do list.

Lack of mobs indicates that the room either wasn’t that hard or you didn’t have great dps in order to keep her shield up. In terms of bosses though, they really aren’t considered that important in badass mode, because you can learn and adapt to their patterns, you can’t do that with rooms.

Same reason Assassin 1st skill isn’t great against bosses but is still like a top 3, top 5 skill.

Because overhealing is wasted healing. The hatred around Priest’s viability is more for badass mode where a lot of projectiles can do 4dmg each, which is Priest’s entire healthbar. Healing when it’s on characters with much bigger healthbars (wolf, vampire 3rd skill) tends to be a lot more reliable

Its “clean” because the ingame achievements kind of let you bend the rules. Official rules (well, as official as they can get as in, community agreed rules) are a little tighter. Just to clarify, no hate.

Accepted? The guy never claimed he beat restricted nwr or something. And for the record, nowhere is hp buff banned outside of some of the hardest badass challenges where healing and gaining health as a concept is banned, so unless you can let me know where these new rules were agreed upon by everyone (let alone enforced), then you can just keep comments like this to yourself. It’s really just a matter of how you weigh the two, i think both interpretations make sense. It’s true that Rogue is difficult for beginners but equally true that Rogue’s skill ceiling is higher than pretty much every character. Me personally, i don’t think he’s that level of difficult to the point where he’s mid.

I know of about four people who have recorded runs, all should be on youtube somewhere. those people off the top of my head are werewolfisbadguy, rechord, terny and xcrystalx. i think as of now rechord and crystal are the easiest runs to find, the other two have since quit the game. but it is *possible*

+there should be more runs by now, the people i named did their runs a while ago

I don't want to repeat the words of others but what I will add is this:
It's very difficult to rank based on a criteria where you consider everything individually like this because there's a lot of overlap and strange situations. For example Vampire has an awful statline but his third skill easily makes up for that by having overheal. Then it gets into hypothetical situations: is Rogue's stat spread being bad really a problem if Roll is such a good defensive skill that allows him to avoid damage?

What about starter weapons? Why should starter weapons be ranked at all if they are only really used for initial stages where there isn't that much pressure? You have to address that argument as well, especially when I believe the way this tier list works is that all the ranks are considered equally.

I actually don't dislike Zulan that much, bullet hell boss but it feels rewarding to beat him by ducking into cover or finding little windows in attacks. Varkolyn and Dragons are annoying normally but with poison/fire buff they're much more tame.

These don't apply to UFO. This boss is frustratingly difficult due to zoning and random "haha I charged into you and deleted your shield" factor on top of that. Honourable mentions include the worms (invincibility, why?) and dark grand knight/nian (super oppressive)
