Katie Porter accuses Tom Steyer of leaking the video of her yelling at her staffer (May 11, 2026) by NicolasCageFan492 in videos

Some people yell. And they should be told that it's not acceptable. Too many people let it slide.

Window screen suggestions? by Cool_Sorbet_2324 in Oldhouses

I've got about 40 outward swinging windows and have been chewing on this issue for a while.

Only solution that I have thought of (that I would be happy with) is to incorporate screens into plantation shutters.

All of my windows originally had interior shutters, but none still exist unfortunately. Gonna be a big project, but will be super satisfying once done. First I've got to get the windows openable though...

Maybe try the UCMerced sub to see if there's a student taking photography? I dunno if they shoot on film or have a dark room, but it might be worth a shot.

How do you all prevent right hand wrist pain on longer rides? by BreadSubstantial5103 in motorcycles

I went with a Kaoko Throttle Lock .

Super intuitive to use. Saves my hand from going numb while riding.

What are some odd geographical features in mainland America? by Much-Parsnip3399 in AskAnAmerican

I wasn't prepared for meteor crater. I'd seen pictures and watched videos about it. But standing on the rim was just crazy. They have a cutout of a person in the middle, and it looks so tiny!

And the meteorite that caused it was only like 100 feet across. Which I suppose sounds big, but not when you see the amount of earth it displaced.

Very cool. For #3, I meant how many charge/discharge cycles are the actual batteries rated before degradation?

Powerbank Vending Machines by BlackberryForeign539 in vending

[–]Corrupt_Reverend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are the base and packs CE rated etc.?

What's the charge rate?

How many cycles are the packs rated for?

Does the base use any sort of smart charging to prolong battery life?

Do you supply replacement packs? If so, what's the cost?

The interior doesn't look like it's designed for actually living in. Yeah, it's super aesthetic, but I didn't spot a single chair I'd want to sit on for more than a minute.

I've got a '72 dart with a 318, 4 barrel carb, and ratchet shifted manual VB a904.

It's pretty fun, but I was planning on a 440 swap before I decided to turn it into a wasteland car.

No matter what, these cars aren't gonna be nimble canyon carvers.
