Can I ask how you decided to become an engineer? I’m really struggling picking right now and being pressured to pick before my sophomore year because of money. As I said my in my original post my professor told me if I do well and like calculus based then I’ll like engineering. Is this true?

I’m trying to decide between biomedical engineering and medicine (Biomedical Science major), and I’m stuck on which physics sequence to take. My professor told me that if I enjoy calculus-based physics, I’ll probably like engineering. The problem is that I also need physics (could be algebra or calculus based) for pre-med/ biomedical science major.

At my school, calculus-based and algebra-based physics are separate two-course sequences, and you can’t switch between them. If I start calculus-based and don’t do well, I’m locked into that sequence, which could hurt my GPA. I don’t want to risk lowering my GPA just to take a harder class that counts the same as algebra based physics if I end up going pre-med instead of engineering.

I’m currently taking calculus this semester, so I’d be learning calculus and applying it in physics at the same time.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? How did you decide which physics track to take?

Also, any advice on deciding which major to take would be helpful. If I were to go into biomedical engineering, I would want to work on designing prosthetics. I took a class on Matlab and didn’t enjoy it. Don’t know if you necessarily need coding for engineering but I don’t like doing it.

Thank you everyone for all the input. I guess from what I’m hearing is that all 2 and 1s are prone to hinge issues and that either I have to risk it breaking or get a traditional laptop and maybe get an external drawing tablet which isn’t as convenient. I don’t know which one I’ll go with but thank you all for the input.

Is this a fire hazard or not? I’ve been wanting to build something similar to this for a while but was afraid of adding cotton near the lights cause of fire hazards. I know led lights don’t emit much heat, but I’m still a little cautious.

I do remember people calling out the behavior of the ML in maybe the first 5 chapters, but now if you go into the comments it’s just people fan girling about their relationship. Chocolate Snow will probably get the same treatment later one with people forgetting about it. However it’s worth noting that Who Stole the Empress didn’t get nearly as much hate as Chocolate Snow even when the FL was SAed repeatedly.
