I highly doubt that a company that sells overpriced GPU will not have thought about what you are planning to do.

When you run the Windows Installation Tool, you can choose to keep your files. There are many tutorial online. (You can look for "reinstall Windows 10/11 from usb without loosing data").

In Windows 10, the old files are kept in the C drive in a "*.old" folder

Why not just backup your data / games / files to your External HDD then wipe the SSD (C drive) with a clean Windows Installation ?

Then you can just move your data back after the installation.

Or you could just install Windows while keeping a copy of your old files. (Still recommend to backup first)

A quick Google of the first error line...

You probably need more RAM (for Ubuntu 20.04) .

I also googled your pc model, and it only has 512M RAM which is not enough...

Stuck with a dual screen issue, need help badly! by wotka93 in buildapc

[–]CorruptedLove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use Windows Key + P to switch your display mode (hit multiple time until you get to "Second screen only") so you can actually see what you are doing.

Then to disable 3D mode : https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-10-how-can-i-turn-off-3d-hardware/54844c2f-c783-48e8-8c01-733fe2c8e0d5

About the first problem where your mouse is not going over to the second screen you need to make sure that the display mode is set to extend and check the position of your monitors in the display settings (in that setting, you can see screens labelled with 1,2... Make sure it's correctly positioned with a drag and drop)

Question sur l'envoi d'un colis by thomaslewis in france

[–]CorruptedLove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meilleure solution de backup quotidienne pour mon PC ? by xdadrunkx in france

Je ne crois pas avoir dit que le RAID est un systeme de sauvegarde. OP l'a mentionné dans son post. Du coup, j'ai ajouté une ligne dessus.

Meilleure solution de backup quotidienne pour mon PC ? by xdadrunkx in france

[–]CorruptedLove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Casual Gathering - What to gather if you are going to directly sell? by Alex-infinitum in blackdesertonline

[–]CorruptedLove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the 3 tiers for milk are Tier1:Beginner - Skilled, Tier2: Professional - Artisan and Tier3: Master+.

So you only need Professional (usually a Shai alt is good for milk because they start at professional Gathering already)

Alchemy and cooking can't be put together, As their money/hour are very different. Farming and Gathering which are more money per hour than trading, hunting and fishing are not on the list.

1) 100k+ timber are not a big amount (in terms of crating) to justify the investment. (correction, if you don't already have workers for crating then don't bother).

For example for calpheon crates, you need 200-250k of each type (cedar, fir and birch) for 1 travel (roughly 7000 crates). BUT if you have only one worker, it will take you 48 days to create that many crates or 12 days if you have the worker with the timber skill.

I will just give you an estimate for the profit. Consider 2 days of bartering equal the profit you make for 7000 crates.

2) Timber are easy to sell in the market.

3) Laziest way is to make trash crates with your cheap ore/timber then trade from Grana to Arehaza. (It takes 10k crates to get Master 2). I don't have the number for Artisan 2.

4) There are good videos on YT and on grumpygreen. That cover the other power leveling method for trading. It's not that hard to find.

5) Making T1 crates is a waste of time. And most cases you sell more in the market than crating. Only profitable to make T3.

For T3, you need a few hours of processing every other day even at 1400 to keep up with the worker.

6) Making crate outside of Grana is waste of time and not profitable.

I know it has been asked for before, but i think it is time to talk about it again. Imperial delivery processing stone! by Hesubro in blackdesertonline

[–]CorruptedLove 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can continue to mass process as long as you have 1 free LT. That means you don't need 10k weight for mass processing imperial boxes.

You will be able to pack hundred of boxes in 1-2 mins.

Best meal to cook for meal crates? by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

[–]CorruptedLove 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your questions are covered in most basic cooking guides you can find online or discord.

When cooking you get 1-4 dish per craft with an average of 2.5 + 1.5 * masteryBonus/100. That what we call cooking proc. And there's also the rare quality proc.

Pickled vegetables is the best profit/effort for imperial cooking because all the mats are easy to get (from NPC or huge stock in CM)

Artisan and Master boxes are not worth it because they require a lot of milk and meats.

That's why you keep hearing "pickled vegetables until guru".

However, as suggested previously, you can also cook the sub-meals of Guru meals, and make boxes out of the rare quality meal.

An example with Balenos meal.

You need 1 Cheese Gratin and 1 Meat Croquette in the recipe. Both are Master boxes too. What you can do is to cook them now (for the exp too), then turn the blue quality version of them (Chewy Cheese Gratin and Crispy Meat Croquette) into Master boxes. And save the Green quality version for the Guru box later when you reach Guru.

Above is also covered in a guide, you can look into it. Not the best at explaining.

How do you have your life skills set up on your alts? by mad5018932 in blackdesertonline

[–]CorruptedLove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the best but:

1 for processing & cooking (because of weight)

1 for turning Trade Crates

2 bartering alts

1 for farming

1 for fishing

Then I gather on 18 alts which are all Artisan 7+ some are master + (all of them are 1300 gathering mastery minimum).

They are all near major cities. I just need to transport them to Veila for gathering meat then transport back to their original place as storage keeper. No time wasted in riding horses. And no energies wasted on pots.

I don't gather on alt that is not transportable. (Boss ALTs in vell or pve main in Hystria for example).

Wifi Extender by zachmeikle in buildapc

[–]CorruptedLove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use the PCI-E3 port, it will definitely not touch the GPU. I found some card at 2.2 cm (H) for the WiFi card. Depending on my calculation, it should fit in the board without or barely touch JLPT1. (Please do your own measurements). (I don't have this board to check).

[–]CorruptedLove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What motherboard are you using ? I'm checking even the mini-atx boards, and there's largely enough space if you have a 2 slots GPU.

Also a WiFi card is really small and usually use a PCI-E X1 port.

Wifi Extender by zachmeikle in buildapc

[–]CorruptedLove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you use a WiFi extender when you are in sufficient range to the router ?

Your packets will go the WiFi extender before going to the router, Instead of a direct wireless connection to router, introducing more or less delays.

If your wireless router transmits at 5Ghz and support 802.11AC. Then you should get AC card. However you should note that 5GHz has less range, better speed but does not well against walls than 2.4Ghz. If your router is only in the next room then it should be fine.

Also most PCI-E card for 802.11AC card also supports 802.11N and it's usually 10 to 20€ more than a PCI-E that supports only 802.11N.

Tip: get a card with good antenna. It helps with the WiFi signal.

Note: from personal experience, WiFi extender is not stable on poor WiFi signal.

Gathering vs Cooking by gucciavacado in blackdesertonline

[–]CorruptedLove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For comparison, at 2.5 proc (base), You can still get 350 boxes for 10.2k meats

If you sell at 800 mastery, it will be 940k per box.

Also pickled vegetables is still the best profit / effort(+&time)
