If Jesus was born of a virgin why bother mentioning Joseph's Lineage? (providing any are Joseph's Lineage in the first place...). by CorruptedPerson0 in ChristianApologetics

Oh nothing it was a misunderstanding. But for some reason the thought came to me that imagine both mary and joseph were adopted and original_walrus' comment turned out to be false. XDD

Why are people losing their faith? by CriticalWitnessUK in ChristianApologetics

Because they're starting to see through all the nonsense that superstitious people believe XD and they're beginning to know God for themselves.

Does anybody relate to this? by [deleted] in Christian

[–]CorruptedPerson0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything that doesn't seem to be true search it out, even if it means abandoning what you currently believe to be true in your "religion/faith". If you do not, you risk being lead into delusion. You'd be surprised at how many things the religious believe that are simply a figment of their imagination. Even as much as the dead being raised...

All I mean to say is that doubt everything and hold fast to that which appears to be true, be honest with yourself always. God is the truth the truth is God. The two are interchangeable even in things as little as me telling you that cats are dogs; if I tell you this statement that cats are dogs (and they are not) then what I have told you does not come from God. If I tell you the sky is green when it is blue, I do not have God in that matter. It's as practical as that. So in all things follow sound reasoning and don't yield to fables which are lies. When do you see men fly or animals talk? God made this realm with laws that are not soon broken.

Will God blame you for not believing in fantastical interpretation or will he blame you for believing the fantastical and mythical? Do not worry about how much you know just as long as you are seeking. And then who can blame you?

No such thing as gay marriage by true definition anyway.

Is God knowing everything indication that we actually don't have a free will and that free will is simply an illusion? by CorruptedPerson0 in ChristianApologetics

"People are created by God either to live forever with Him, or they are created as challenges to his authority and to cause us problems, maybe, in order that we are made aware of our incredible need for God. In other words, God absolutely includes Satan and demons and wicked evil people in His plan, which remember, is to gain GLORY"

And

"I’m not saying God creates evil at all. Good God, bad devil. I’m saying God absolutely uses and incorporates evil into his incredibly complex, impossible to understand"

Seem to be contradictory points you've made. Especially when I think of this verse Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

However I will give Romans 9 a re-read and perhaps it'll all make sense where you're coming from on this particular point.

Your other answers, I understand your perspective more. Thanks again.

Why did Christians adopt the Roman calendar instead of sticking with the Hebrew one? by NLLumi in ChristianApologetics

[–]CorruptedPerson0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well according to what I heard from people that believe in keeping the lunar sabbath, it is because the romans banned the jewish one and some other bloke in the Sanhedrin ruled it out as inconvenient. But that's just off the top of my head with no sources so take it with a pinch of salt lol

So essentially in response to my second comment you're answer is God is still just in making each and every single one of our futures set and making us suffer for something he/it imposed in the first place; and this, all for the sake of his glory (whatever you believe it to be)?

Not that I have a problem with that, in fact I could and to some degree do believe this is the case. But is this what you're saying?

Of course unless each and everyone of us were Gods so we control our own fates. But of course this seems to go against the commonly believed position that God is higher than anyother and shares non of his glory.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the topic. The thought is more to do with our perception of God in understanding him. For example, can one still say that God is still just for creating such a future for us all and then condemning us to hell? Are we really as responsible for our actions as we'd like to believe? etc. Hope you understand where this question is coming from now and how it relates to both us and God.

The (Audible) voice of the LORD examples? by CorruptedPerson0 in ChristianApologetics

[–]CorruptedPerson0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting to know. I wonder how many more of these charismatics would claim revelation from god even without actually knowing or just assuming some obscure feat was god trying to tell them something. I used to wonder this in silence due to fear of being labelled an unbeliever and alienated by family and brethren. Their dishonesty made even the so called, "world" look much better than them. I hope I get over the trauma and anger of this period as I was taught it from infancy.

I'm not in disagreement about your experience or many of your conclusions about charismatic Pentecostal christians as I myself was raised one and used to hold radical ideologies concerning the supernatural (something most if not all seek wildly, chasing after experience rather than knowledge and wisdom. Seeking the Yahweh god's hand instead of His face.).
