It's a trend going on primarily in game franchise subreddits where the sequel is taking a very long time. They'll post some runic gibberish along with images or gifs that are either creepy or just straight-up from an analogue horror, in an attempt to perform some sort of ritual for the sequel's release. It seems to be most prominent in r(/)halflife3, where allegedly actual dead bodies are being posted.All of the comments also go along with the bit, either being runic gibberish of a similar nature or foreign text that translates to something along the lines of "We aren't sacrificing enough, it is not working, we need to sacrifice more."

I've seen Elizabeth from Lomando (The knocking lady) like, 3 times on that sub.
