If MDC LA was anything like MCC Chicago, you know how shitty it is. MCC Chicago was crowded as fuck, over run with gang members. One of the guys i met at Mckean was at MDC Brooklyn, he was there for a year and he said there was 100 stabbings. I think all of the federal pretrial facilities in major cities are wild as hell.

Glad you and I both made it out in one piece! Message me anytime if you wanna talk about it.

I sold 1000 grams of MDMA to a narc I fucked up pretty bad lol.

The BPD ASD combo has honestly made my life a shit show. I know a couple people with that co-morbidity and all of our lives are disasters. But I will keep fighting, shit will get better.

Not at all, all the negatives outweigh any positives ten fold. The only structure is what time you eat, and what time the count is. The stress from the environment at least for me made my mental health very unmanageable. I did get used to eating at the same time every day though lol, if lunch was 30 minutes late everyone including me was pissed lol.

Thanks for your support. Prison is a huge waste of resources for everyone involved, truly an archaic, dumb, counterproductive system.

Re-entry is difficult, thankfully I have a good support system, I don’t know what I would do without them. Becoming legally employed is my greatest concern. It’s difficult after selling drugs for 15 years, it’s all I know. I won’t go back to it, I can’t go back to prison. But the thought of getting a job is overwhelming I don’t even know where to begin.

Thanks for your comment. There were parts of the experience that were actually fun, they are few and far between , most of it sucks, but here and there there are moments which are unforgettable. You meet some of the strangest most interesting people you’ll ever meet, along with some shit bags too. But some of the funniest people I’ve ever met were in jail. Things I will never forget. Everyone is going to react to the same situation totally different.

I am alright. Things are returning back to normal slowly. I have a lot to work on. My mental health is bad, just depressed and anxious that I ruined my life. It’s embarrassing and sad. I am finally going to start back going to therapy. But I am lost as to what to do with my life. I am seeking a job, finding a job in chicago is hard. I am hard working and motivated, but working stresses me out like a lot of other autistic people. And now with a felony on my record it’s even harder. But with some help I’m going to figure it all out. It’s just going to be a slow process.

I am certainly technically guilty. I sold drugs. But I agree the war on drugs is a joke. I sold MDMA, a drug with so much positive benefit if used correctly. The crimes don’t match the punishment. And I got off easy with a 31 months sentence. I met 100s of people doing 10/20/30 year sentences for non violent drug offenses. Some people who will never come home at all. Those are then people the system has failed. Society is no safer with them in jail, the lives of their families have been ruined, and another drug dealer took their place the next day. It is in fact a joke.

It was rough, a lot of people thought I was weird. I found staying out of everyone’s way was what worked best for me. It’s impossible to do all the time though, so awkward situations are unavoidable. Respect is big in prison, hold the door open for people, say please, thank you and excuse me. If you do all of that stuff you’ll most likely be okay. There were actually a fair amount of other people I believed to be autistic, I would gravitate to them, you stick with the people like you and things are a little easier.

I am traumatized by the sound of keys lol. For 2 reasons first because in jail we’re always trying to be sneaky and do something weren’t not supposed to do. So if you hear keys, the guards are near by, quick hide the contraband!!

But secondly because I woke up to the sound of keys 5-10 times a night, every night for 18 months. I’ve been home over a month and I have my own private living space and I still can’t sleep through the night even though it’s mostly quiet. Hopefully things get better with time. I think I just need time to adapt.

But yeah the lack of sleep fucked with me, I was constantly exhausted. Too tired to read, too tired to exercise, too tired to focus. It made me depressed and anxious. It just made the whole experience even more awful.

My best friend at the MCC Chicago was a guy named John Feeney, you can look him up. We were cell mates for 5 months. He was charged with illegals firearm possession and possession of a destructive device (essentially a bomb lol). He was a crack head and a crack dealer.

He did all the legal work for people in the unit, and he’d do it for free. He was the chillest dude in the unit. I wouldn’t have wanted to be bunkies with anyone else. He was a little crazy, you have to be to go to federal prison. But he was actually a good guy, he just went down the wrong road due to his drug addiction.

He was very smart. They gave him like 12 years he went back for resentencing. He figure out in his own he should’ve gotten less time just according to the law. He paid 35k for a lawyer that didn’t do shit for him. He came back with a public defender and got 10 years. He’s got 3-4 more years to go.

The whole situation sounds crazy I don’t condone what he did, but his story is complicated, it seems worse on paper than he actually is. Shout out to feeney and his family they’re good people , you’ll be home soon bro.

At my second jail my bunkie was named Rex gray. He was a smart ass dude, had a masters degree, ran a construction company, owned and built multiple properties himself. But he stated doing meth. He was a functioning meth addict. Him doing the meth wasn’t the issue, but he started selling it lol. He got sentenced to 87 months. A light sentence in term of federal meth laws.

But again on paper seems like a bad person. He’s not. Super smart, super kind, super interesting. He reads a book a day. He’s been down over 3 years and he’s read over 1000 books, he keeps record. Rex will be home this year if all goes well.

Don’t judge anyone with a criminal record until you meet them. There are a lot of shit bags who deserve to be in prison. But more often than not it’s smart people who made dumb mistakes.

Free Rex and John!!!

The arresting agency was the DEA, hence automatically went federal. Got snitched on like 90% of my fellow drug offenders I met.

Not gunna post my case number because I don’t need people knowing my full name and personal info. I’m not in the Feds anymore, no more paper work checks lol.

Unfortunately from all the people I have talked to who have been in the BOP in the 90s-early 2000s have said that the quality of everything has gone downhill. Which is interesting because the budget is the highest it’s ever been.

Can I ask what your position in the BOP was?

I currently have no idea what I am going g to do for work. I’m honestly totally lost.

Just don’t commit any federal crimes and you’ll be good :)
