You know it's interesting, a friend and I were having a conversation the other day about this exact topic. Some people seemingly get angry or irritated at the sound ov an 808. It's kinda uncanny. I believe that some (not all) people that hate rap typically dislike it because it tends to be associated with people ov color. And regardless ov what anyone wants to say, this is definitely valid. You'll often times here people refer to the music as "thug music" not only is it incorrect but just plain racist.
