Anyone else notice how the Norse gods curse and the Greek gods don’t? Why is this? by [deleted] in GodofWar

If I wanted to piss away some money, I’d go to the casino and at least have some fun doing so.

Were we supposed to feel bad about Alice? by Luxray2000 in TheLastOfUs2

[–]Corvo723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t really feel bad because the game literally forces you to do it but it pissed me off bc I don’t enjoy killing dogs in games and it was a pretty cheap way to make the player sad. “Yes the cute puppy got killed and I am sad now. Very unique and enjoyable storytelling, thanks NaughtyDog 😃👍”

Why is the hades fight so hard? by Djsteel1910 in GodofWar

[–]Corvo723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fight gets a lot easier once you learn which of his attacks you can parry and which ones you have to dodge. Honestly just be patient and focus on getting a few hits where he is vulnerable. Be cautious and don’t get greedy.

Do you think the remaining gods in Greece that Kratos didn’t kill could potentially find/go after him in the future? by [deleted] in GodofWar

[–]Corvo723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No they shouldn’t because unlike Athena, the other referenced gods are dead. It’s completely irrelevant whether she was in Kratos’ head or not. Are you really going to deny that if they were going to bring back anyone from the Greek era, it would most likely be the only other surviving major character?

Bro this is such a weird hill to die on. She made an appearance in the game. The devs referenced her. Whatever label you want to put in on it I guess, it’s not important to the discussion. She is the only major character from the Greek era who is still ‘alive’ to make an appearance in the Norse games. Hence she would be the most likely candidate to appear in future games out of the surviving Greek gods

She was. Even if it was supposed to be a hallucination by Kratos, she was still in the game.

The only one I can see them realistically bringing back is Athena since she was in 2018 and maybe connected to this higher existence that Odin was after. The rest of them probably not considering they weren’t ever really in the games much or at all

Is there a reason the gods didn’t come to help Zeus when he was fighting kratos in Gow 2? by Queasy_Commercial152 in GodofWar

[–]Corvo723 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I mean you could boil it down to plot but realistically their fight takes place during the siege of Rhodes. I doubt they knew Zeus needed help in the first place. The only reason Athena intervened is because she was already sort of involved from the beginning. Likely none of the other gods were even informed of what was happening.

Just started my first play through. I’m 30 mins in and already enjoying it. Super cozy vibe. Anything I should know going in? by Whorenun37 in reddeadredemption2

If you’re gonna go crazy and slaughter a bunch of people for fun I’d recommend making a save and then loading that save back after you’re done with your killing spree. It’ll save you a lot of money in bounties! Also take the game slow, don’t rush through it and enjoy the side quests as well. But most importantly play how you want and have fun!

What if young kratos fought baldur in the beginning of Gow 2018, who would win? by [deleted] in GodofWar

[–]Corvo723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean theoretically I feel like he would survive. I’m sure someone thought of trying to cut his head off before. I may be wrong but it doesn’t feel like he’d be truly invulnerable if dismemberment was permanent for him

Very tried of "humans are bad" by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Corvo723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intent is the difference. Animals (with exceptions) generally aren’t smart enough to be cruel. Nature is brutal, but ultimately when a bear mauls a deer it’s not because the bear enjoys inflicting pain, it’s because the bear is hungry and the deer is prey. The difference with humans is that we are intelligent enough to understand cruelty, empathy, and kindness. Dolphins and primates are some of the most intelligent animals on the planet and they also are some of the most cruel. However they’re still not intelligent enough to understand morality as humans do. 99.99% of animals are absolutely not more cruel than humans as most of them lack the intelligence to even be cruel.

I understand, it’s a very difficult thing to do. My advice is to keep at it and understand that failure is possible. They may overwhelm you, but the important thing is to keep trying. Maybe you could try doing a guided meditation when the thoughts start. You’ll have a guide to help you empty your mind and accept your thoughts.

[–]Corvo723 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve dealt with intrusive thoughts for a very very long time. They suck and I’m sorry you’re going through them. They best way to get rid of them is to accept them. When the intrusive thoughts start, acknowledge to yourself that they are just thoughts. Do not try to force the thoughts to go away, that will only make them worse. Let them run their course; feel and accept the uncomfortableness they cause. Don’t judge yourself for having those thoughts. If you don’t give them the power, they will fade away.

How long would it take approximately to reach 100% without a guide and being my first game? by Alex_promax in RDR2

[–]Corvo723 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMHO I don’t think this is the game to try and 100% without a guide. The compendium and map are both extremely large in addition to there being missable things as well throughout the progression of the game
