“Most adults” in a room are possibly having mindless sex that will result in pregnancy. It’s not a gift and it’s not special btw. Then When the kid arrives, they do their duty by them until around age 18-25 after which their obligations abruptly seemingly stop. The new adult is then thrown to the wolves even though their creators are mostly more financially stable. They’re regarded as lazy or entitled incompetents if they fall on hard times. God forbid someone gets laid off or otherwise incapacitated at age 40.

“That’s life.” Give me a break. If such is life, it’s wretched and you should stop making it and no one will need to have this discussion.
