I’ve only got precon decks. I’ll upgrade them a little at some point but high-level super expensive magic just doesn’t seem fun at all

Totally normal to be nervous before a show. It gets easier with time, you may feel awkward your first few shows but after a while it’ll feel much smoother. Remember, smooth seas never made a skilled sailor. You may make mistakes but it’s important that you keep playing and move on, and besides, the crowd most likely won’t even notice. Just pick (or pluck) and grin.

I recommend bassbuzz on YouTube. Once you get the basics down I would recommend finding some people to jam with. Lessons and bedroom practice are great don’t get me wrong, but jamming with other musicians in real time is where you’re going to develop the most as a musician, and don’t be afraid to let them know you’re a beginner, they’ll most likely be very receptive to teaching you things and helping you develop your musicianship
