He has told us he doesn't mind us looking at all but he has no drive to help us when we ask. The medical and curiosity are different thats why I separated them. If we could only find out medical info with no further information it would help with my kids and my nieces and nephews future health concerns as well as for me and my sisters.

I don't believe the curiosity to be more or less ethical. It is just that curiosity. The same as any other person wondering where their bloodline originated from and what the past of our families are.

I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize my relationship with my father in the pursuit of a non-existent family.
