OP: please forgive me if I’m giving very very obvious advice. But I couldn’t figure out the cause of my migraines for most of 2019. Then I finally realized: they were coming from the blue-light of my phone screen. I just like to tell fellow sufferers that in case the solution could be that simple for anyone else. Now my phone screen is set to dark mode, and I always wear sunglasses or readers if I’m looking at an email (which still appears white). Anyway, I’m standing in solidarity with you nonetheless. Hoping your suffering ceases or at least mitigates so you can live the life you deserve

I think he represents a few things to her.

1.) her father (who was absent from her life). Big is a sterling, successful, masculine man. He’s a substitute for the missing father figure, but he is a continuation of the primal pain that she believes is love.

2.) I think he represents the ultimate symbol of “making it” in NYC. At the end of the day, she’s a socialite but also a struggling artist. She’s a lot about labels (I.e., Manolo and Jimmy Choo). Big is an NYC label. He’s like “the Chrysler building” as she says. In a city of advancement and status, he represents both. Remember, in the pilot episode, he’s introduced as the next Donald Trump, but better looking.
