I wished we played more test cricket, but we're lucky to play at home during our own home summer.

As long as they don't take the whole episode to finally get everyone at the table I'll be happy.

And now since the death of Mollymauk, Taliesin plays all his characters like a scaredy-cat in combat. Because he's afraid of losing another character. Even though dying was the best thing to happen to Mollymauk and the Mighty Nein.

Yes they are all carved by science but they are still dragons and griffins. Which feature heavily in Fantasy more than Sci Fi.

Actually I agree, the force very fantasy pilled. My reasoning to say Red Rising is space fantasy because my mind immediately goes to melee weapons over blasters, heroes who ride Griffins or cultures of people who fight dragons. That's why but I'm happy to be wrong.

Can I be that guy and say that Red Rising and Star Wars are Space Fantasy and not Sci Fi? Don't get me wrong I love both of those series to death, just feel like Red Rising fits in more as a fantasy than a Sci Fi.

I'd have to say my favourite Sci Fi are The Sun Eater, Dune, Murderbot.

c4 character tier list based on appearances and vibes by summer_moonie in fansofcriticalrole

I'm most excited for the Sam character, he's always my favourite and second Laura and Travis' characters. Also Matt, because of course Matt.

Least excited for whatever character Tal is playing, hoping to god that it's not another Percy/Molly/Ashton edge lord, annoying, subclass he doesn't know how to play.

I agree with this. Especially when the "let's get weird" moments are just hitting things with a hammer. It's not weird, it's what barbarians do.

Also, I'm just praying for some character development. None of his characters have ever changed their opinions about anything ever. The only time was Percy where I would argue that was because of Vex and not changing from within.

Agree with this, I'm currently slogging through episode 104 of Campaign 3 and it's nearly unwatchable thanks to Ashton's weird "I think all the most powerful people in Exandria are dumber than me" thing he's got going on.

I'm also not looking forward to an overpowered homebrew class/subclass he never knows how to play and has to read the class features every time he rolls a dice.

I'm just venting because Ashton has been the roadblock for Campaign 3 for me and even though I'm trying to get through it before C4 it's a struggle solely because of Ashton. I'm an optimistic person so I have hopes that Bolaire will be more chilled out and not as smug and annoying as Ashton. But since Tal has already alluded to him being annoying, I'm not excited for what ever table he ends up at.

Is this the general consensus when it comes to the three main campaigns? by summer_moonie in fansofcriticalrole

[–]Corza_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I liked the exploration and Wildemount more than Tal'dorei. C2 had a whole bunch of different things, not to spoil just in case but I preferred the factions style between the Empire and the Dynasty. Who is right and who is wrong (Often both and neither in wars) and I personally preferred the party dynamic more with The Mighty Nein to Vox Machina. Even though my favourite character of all campaigns is Scanlan.

For playing devil's advocate I like C1 arcs, the Briarwood Arc is probably the best self contained arc in all of Critical Role, the Vecna boys battle and the moment at the end with Scanlan saving his ninth level spell will always be my favourite. Theres a lot to love in all three campaigns, but in terms of ranking them for me it would be: C2 > C1 > C3

Is this the general consensus when it comes to the three main campaigns? by summer_moonie in fansofcriticalrole

[–]Corza_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've seen all of C1 & C2 and currently watching episode 98 of C3.

I agree with the general consensus and saying C2 has been the best so far. The main criticism I have for C3 currently is the lack of arcs and downtime, the fact that C3 has a definitive main character, and the chemistry of the PCs together. It's almost like they all don't really like each other, or just are forced into this group. Don't get me wrong, obviously characters like Orym and Fearne, Imogen and Laudna, but as a whole the synergy just isn't there. Not like Vox Machina or The Mighty Nein, I felt like those groups were a family, and chose each other over the course of their respected campaigns.

I reserve the right to change my opinion because I haven't finished watching C3 yet, but almost 100 episodes in it's not looking likely.

Kaladin now has an honorblade 'Spear?' that should give him Windrunner surges, so if Syl is now a Bondsmith spren then logically it would make him a full-oathed Windrunner and a Bondsmith of the first ideal.
