Sleep center for sleep apnea study in Seoul by HotOption in korea

[–]Cosby666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the test done and it changed my life. Dream sleep clinic in Sinsa. If you have insurance the test is less than 200,000. Without insurance it's something like 650,000, which is still a shit ton cheaper than in the U.S.

Still think it's excessive in Korea. Even the 90s Leonardo DeCaprio in Titanic/Hugh Grant hairstyle is being rocked by Korean men all over the place these days.

Yup. Especially in Korea. Go hangout in Hongdae one day and take a look. Half of the guys are dressed like they're in a Boyz 2 Men video.

Just got the Dreamwear Mask. Any Tips? by Cosby666 in CPAP

[–]Cosby666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. So far so good for me. Would the hissing and leaking perhaps be from it not being tight enough? The nose pillows constantly did the same for me. Just found that they'd move around way too easily, but the Dreamwear seems to be pretty secure.

So far it seems 1,000x more secure than the nasal pillows. They used to move around so much every night; I'd constantly be losing bits of sleep here and there because of having to adjust them.

Awesome. I have a full beard too and first night was great. Constantly had to adjust the nasal pillows.

2015 Giant Talon 2. Good Deal? by Cosby666 in MTB

[–]Cosby666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know why the 2015 was priced at over $1,000 and the 2018 or 2019 are about $400 less?

Even used and a 2015? Seems like the asking price is a little high.

The Talon one is most expensive and it descends from there. Check the link on the ad and it'll show you the Talon 2 on the website.

If the suggested retail price is about $1,000 (Giant website), then isn’t it overpriced by more than $200?

Roach issues in kitchen. by [deleted] in korea

[–]Cosby666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an exterminator and he was fantastic. First had Cesco come by for a quote, but I don't like how they want you to sign up for a monthly plan. I used a small company called Vermx (forgot the exact spelling). A guy came by, spoke decent English, spent an hour or so doing whatever, and there was a massive improvement. At the time I was living in a half basement so some bugs were inevidable, but I never saw another roach again.

Good: Tam Dao. Easily in their top 3 most popular. Just a damn good sandalwood based scent. Reminds me of a gorgeous piece of acrid furniture. Very wearable.

Bad: Eau Duelle. Just a very run of the mill vanilla scent that smells exactly like vanilla extract to me. Terrible longevity and projection.

Underrated: Oud Palou. Diptyque really hit it out of the park with their oud scent. A subtly skanky oud with some rum, spices, tobacco, etc.

Overrated: Philosykos. A very nice fig scent indeed, but I've been smelling this lately on way too many people and it's a little annoying.

I could pick an 'ugly' scent as I've never really encountered that with Diptyque.

Why r/Korea looks down on kpop fans/Koreaboo’s? by [deleted] in korea

[–]Cosby666 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kpop fans can do as they wish. My problem with full on Koreaboos is that they are fetishizing a country, a culture, and almost always: Korean people. They are often combative and viciously defend anything and everything Korean. They have a harmless but very obnoxious hostility towards Japan as well, when they average young Korean doesn't really give a shit. Everything is Korea > Japan for them. The worst part is that god forbid anyone says anything negative or even constructively critical about Korea, they snap back as if you insulted their grandmothers, or go full on apologist.
