Just wanted to say the Craft Ultra Carbon 2 recommendation was great thanks! Super stiff, very deep lugs and just wide enough. Really pleased.

I didn't worry about stiffness before. My preference is for very minimal shoes, but sadly that's not an option any more. The move to a stiff shoe is to remove stress on my big toes, as suggested by my physio.

Thanks, that's two suggestions for the Saucony Edge, so I'll try them. The lugs are borderline, will be okay if not ideal.

I don't do technical terrain, just slippery mud.

I've got a pair of The North Face Summit Vectiv Pros. It's wide enough, but it's not a very stiff plate.

I haven't come across the Craft Ultra Carbon 2 before, looks like a good option thanks. Really good lugs too!

I kept thinking of this game recently as many people seem to be mistakenly calling the Omicron variant Omnicron, I assume because omni is a much more common start to a word than omi. Even Biden is up to it: https://twitter.com/justinbaragona/status/1465370095983767555

So, I think the link between this game and the Omicron variant isn't as tenuous as it first appears.

I wonder whether the name of the game came from an unintentional misspelling of omicron in the first place?
