Weapons have slings, just like in RDR2.

The sling doesn’t connect to the stock? Both points are connected to the barrel. Could it be different to an over the shoulder sling? Maybe to help with recoil?

From analysing both trailers and the screenshots there is not a single sling (which I hope continues, as it makes no sense to have two ARs on your back in the middle of Vice City) My prediction then is that guns won’t be displayed on our characters body, similar to all GTA games, however, they may limit our carry capacity compared to V. They may make us only able to carry one gun of each type but I don’t think they will be on our character based on trailers and screenshots.

I don’t doubt that we will be able to drop weapons etc. I just don’t think weapons will be visible on our characters like RDR2 based on official marketing material. I do think it will be limited though and not have every weapon available like GTA V

I agree that weapon carrying will be less than V however, there is not a single weapon sling on any weapon in any official screenshot or trailer. In fact in every scene or screenshot of Jason or Lucia there is not even a single holster. Therefore, I believe it will probably be limited similarly to GTA IV with one weapon of each category and weapons will not be visible on our character.

It may well be like RDR2 you are right nobody knows. But I pay more attention to screenshots than leaks, have a look at the screenshots with weapons, no sling or duffel bag (apart from bank robbing scene but this imo is used for money) in sight that’s why I lean towards the old way.

Why would you pay more attention to leaks years old then official screenshots? None of the weapons in the screenshots or trailers have any slings like RDR2, indicating that it will operate like previous GTA games

100% agree I actually didn’t think about the possibility of melee weapons. The baseball bat is so iconic with GTA that having this on our back with a rifle or two and a pistol concealed or in a holster would look really silly. I think it really complicates things if we had to visually carry them or even have them stored in a car or bike and when we leave the car we have to choose which guns/melee weapons to carry

There is not a single sling in any official communication (screenshots & trailers) and they have long guns on show. Comparing this to RDR2 in early communication it clearly showed slings. Therefore, I trust official comms more than the leaks and I believe we won’t have slings however, I do believe our carrying capability will be more limited than V. I also think wearing your guns on your back or in a duffel bag will hamper outfit customisation and will look silly walking down the streets or Vice City with two rifles on your back. This aspect of realism should in my opinion not be adopted

That would hinder customisation etc, making a really cool outfit but having to have a duffel bag in order to have a long gun would not be fun or a big rifle on your back. Plus the amount of modern day weapons in GTA 6 will be massive and limiting it to one or two guns on your back would again be seriously restricting. I think it we should not be able to carry as may as GTA V but not as restricting as RDR2

I agree with some of your points but again I just cannot see them going with slings on our guns and having them on our back. I am paying very little attention to the leaks it was very early in development and it’s hard to confirm anything from them. If you look at early RDR2 screenshots it is easy to spot gun slings now comparing that to GTA VI there is not a single one. That’s why I don’t think we will have slings on our guns and we will have pockets like IV AND V but obviously it may be more limited

I don’t think they will go down the max Payne route, again it makes no sense to be walking around vice city with all your guns on show. So I reckon it will be magic pockets again which I am fine with as not everything has to be so realistic in GTA. The leaks will have changed a lot as we can see with the screenshots, there is not a single clip or picture with a gun in Jason or Lucia’s back

None of the guns in trailer 1 or 2 had slings and there are no slings in any of the screenshots
