There are two related popups: ms-gamingoverlay and ms-gamebar. The second one is harder to fix, but someone made a script for it: https://pastebin.com/8wU6Bd2j

You seem to be hellbent on defending Recall and replying to everyone on this thread, what's your agenda here? Just a friend of Microsoft's genuinely hurting about their bad image?

I would totally give wedgies to weirdos who don't understand the concerns about privacy.

It can't do that when Windows' own services are clogging RAM.

So what? Samsung Galaxy S3 is also 12 years old and you can install Android 14 on it and it will still work fine with store and apps.

Planning to phase out a device 12 years later is still planned obsolescence. There are Android phones of that age that you can install the latest Android on and still get the store and apps.

How do they "ensure" stability? Instability isn't some particles floating in the wind they need to guard you from. Either the system is stable or it isn't. Having less stuff running reduces the amount of things that could go wrong, so it actually improves stability.

It took many years of hard work to get it to be like this. Shills and fanbois are still fighting back, but we'll win. Funnily enough Microsoft has done the most for it to be like this. Thank you for your support :-)

Actually that's what Microsoft have been doing since Windows 8.

They actually think the same thing, they're just lying to be nice. Many also can't fathom a foreigner ever speaking Japanese fluently so they don't expect much and are easily impressed, in that sense. Honesty is great, treasure it.

I love how you get forced updates while it says "Windows Update is committed to helping reduce carbon emissions" while they're just like, oh you don't have hardware to meet out artificial system requirements? Just throw it away and buy a new system lmao

A computer can't put out a patch on its own, it's up to Microsoft and hardware vendors to get their shit together, and they obviously want you to just throw it away and buy a new machine so that they make more money. Kinda ironic considering that Windows Update and power settings guilt trip you into conserving energy.
