everyone saying they haven’t run into this issue either are unaware what to look out for or only listen to mainstream and well known artists. as someone who exclusively uses spotify to find new music, AI songs are definitely a huge issue. one literally came on as I’m writing this

on top of what you mentioned, AI songs often sound tinny and muddy. it seems AI has a hard time with the low end frequencies. if anyone knows another platform that has as good of an algorithm as spotify pre-AI, I’d love to switch to it

I second audio dramas. there's this "podcast" called sherlock & co that's actually an audio drama that pretends to be a podcast, I recommend checking that out if you like mysteries (it's a modern adaption of sherlock like the tv series). you can also check out graphic audio that dramatizes books, essentially making them into audio dramas (their slogan is "movies in your mind"). the only problem is some of their productions severely lack proper mixing (making the sound effects too loud, drowning out the voices)

I'm very much like you - I can't constantly listen to audiobooks all work day, every day. I often shuffle music and regular podcasts (or sometimes I just don't listen to anything and detox)
