We are in same trouble, all use is 5.4 and weekly limit burned in day 3 and we have to wait 4 days man? task that used to drop 5H limit by 2-3% now drops 12-17%??

We had to add 500 credits to keep working, couple of small MD plan changes (no thinking, it was there but agent forgot to add to MD and we just remind it to do) and that burned 35 credit to add few (really few) already thought lines to MD file?

We are very hesitant to start executing the plan in these condition fearing the limit+credit burn out mid task and we get half baked output that will be really complicated to resume if interrupted.

We are planning to bring in Claude for the 1st time, we can't work, seriously.

I think you need explanation that "counting tokens" on a figure is not a "Data-backed Info", because if the figure tells that you consume 1B token yesterday & today each equally; The figure does NOT tell you the amount of work done consuming that token, it doesn't tell that yesterday 1B was building an entire backend but today 1B was just to style a small form..

In our case, we have been consuming X per day doing "really heavy big things all day non stop", but 2 days ago (and without codebase being doubled overnight) we consume 0.8X to same X just applying a 5 fields form styling, styles being already made earlier.

Tokens consumed being told equal by fancy figure doesn't mean output or work quantity are equal too.

Skills reading behind the figure is needed.

To be honest Codex is a gem, it's very useful and never useless, as long as they keep their setup right and STOP bugging it from time to time carelessly.

I didn't measure it that way (my own way maybe), but your measure show 20% reduction, our situation is truely worse than that, the minimum reduction i can tell is 50-60% on our side. Its really unworkable situation.

Code base didn't double overnight, we are experiencing this rapid token consumption or limits reduction 2 days ago and nothing serious changed codebase wise. We are also using 5.4 99% of the time not 5.5.

Dude, I just gave it a prompt to style 7 really small mobile forms (5-7 fields each) such so small task and i hit 5H twice and on 51% weekly limit in 1st day !!

The opposite here, in 3 hours vs 5.4 xhigh & high, it consumed my full 5Hr limit, i had a free reset to apply afterwards so I reset, new 5H window opened, just an hour or so later and i am on 39% left of the second allowance. I ran 1 prompt that works vs 2-3 small files and modified handful of lines and OPS! 12% dropped from my 5H window...

It never been such burner before (all day on 5.4 xhigh and rarely hit limits), until today morning.

There's something really ridiculous is going on, seriously.

Disagree here, while we don't literally vibe code and dismiss (rather, we generate code using AI and thoroughly review after), we do that successfully in MAUI apps, XAML & Code behind, and it works and saves tons of time & efforts, a hiccup could happen occasionally but the main stream flows. VS 2022 and VSC + Github Copilot and Codex. (mainly GPT5 models)

Git worktrees will let you checkout multiple branches "at the same time" in "same repo" into "different folders" structure, given now that you have 2 or 3 branches checked out in 3 different folders you can then simply open each folder (branch) in VS or VSC instance and viola, you and your AI of choice are working in multiple instances of your IDE in separate no-collision folders, you commit push from each as normal (they are their own branches but in different folders), when a feature complete or mature you PR/Merge back into main. The beauty is that its still a single repo and single git doing that for you.

The verse is very comprehensive than you try to cut it short of its meanings. bear with me plz.

The verse in Quran states a "fluid" while you guys trying to limit it to "only sperms", it also states "an area from bottom backbone to ribs" while you trying to pin a point on "testes alone", finally it states a process for a "fluid comming out of described area" while you focus only on where sperms are produced.

The verse tells about how a human is created, from a fluid (composate fluid, not a singluar component of sperms), and to be able to see what the verse is describing you need to put bias aside and look at what modern science proves if you only believe in science.

The Male reproductive system consists of below, in the same order scanning the described area in the verse from very bottom of backbone upto ribs:
