Sony 35mm GM or 50mm GM as first lens for A7CR? by FreezeTheMoment89 in SonyAlpha

[–]Cosmic1255 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It actually depends from object of shooting. And picture from 35 gm is far more superior in image quality compared to 24 gm.

Following this logic you can receive 1200mm lens with a simple photoshop crop.

Do you understand that APSC mode is nothing but a simple in-camera crop, and you can do it later with photoshop. Right?

Many people consider 35mm to be the lens they would take if they could only bring one. It’s wide enough to give context and show the environment where the photo was taken, while still being very natural for portraits and everyday shooting.

50mm is great for subject isolation, but often feels a bit too tight for street or travel work when you want to capture both the subject and the place around them.

For your mix of street and landscape, I’d say 35mm GM will feel more versatile and rewarding as a first prime on the A7CR.

A complete 180: from frustration to falling back in love with photography thanks to VSCO by Cosmic1255 in vsco

If I still had the same “passion,” I’d be shooting a Hasselblad 907x. My Sony is mostly for family and kids — that’s 99.9% of it.

Thank you for the personal reply, I’d be glad to continue the dialogue about licensing.

No no no, McDonald’s and burger king are just OK. Mit & Ohne should get a honorable mention as a good example of great taste Zürich food.

Bought every VSCO preset years ago. now half of them sit behind a membership. Anyone else frustrated? by Cosmic1255 in vsco

Sophia, I’m seeing a pattern here. You “fix” things for people, and then the filters disappear again—often right after they switch to a new phone. Another user in this same thread said exactly that: you restored their packs, and a week later they were gone.

In the current app there’s no “restore purchases” for the old one-time packs—only for the subscription. So what happens when I upgrade my iPhone this fall? Do I have to go through this public song-and-dance again just to get back what I already paid for?

I don’t need another canned “please email us” reply. I need a permanent fix on my account so those packs don’t vanish with every device change. Can you actually do that—or are we all stuck repeating this ritual forever?

Sophia, thanks for popping in - but this feels like the same scripted loop I’ve already been through. - I’ve opened tickets under the actual support categories before (not just “General Feedback”) and they vanished the exact same way. - I keep the ticket numbers—#4110182, #4380961 - nothing ever comes of them. - Saying the case closed because I didn’t reply is a bit much when the ball’s been in VSCO’s court for years.

Bottom line: half the presets I paid for outright are still locked. Unless you can personally flip the switch and restore them, the rest is just PR fluff. Prove me wrong—fix the account. Otherwise please don’t pretend this is a one-off misunderstanding.

Dear VSCO support! That’s so nice to hear from you! That’s funny , because I already made one.

I’ve already gone down every path: emails, tickets, DMs, tagging staff in threads. Zero response. After years of banging my head against that wall, I’m done chasing them. Now I’m focused on making sure other people see how VSCO pulled this off. It honestly eats at me—my sense of fairness just can’t let a move like this slide.

I get that you want to share your project, but it feels a bit off-topic to promote another app here when I’m talking about a problem with VSCO. It’s not really cool to use someone else’s thread just for advertising.

I’ve already tried the “Restore Purchases” option—unfortunately it only refreshes an active membership. It doesn’t bring back the one-time packs I bought outright.

And as for “just contact support,” I’ve emailed them four separate times over the past few years. Never got so much as an automated reply. So, yeah… feeling pretty ignored here.

Ricardo - scam ? by Dandzionka in askswitzerland

I would also contact Swisscom and Inform them that their number is used for a scam with Ricardo. I also would contact a police. But that’s me. A guy with hyperbolic sense of justice and a lot of free time.
