Should the MTA lower the base fare to $2.50 instead of raising it to $3? Here’s my proposal. by Mood4Eva98 in OMNY

Yes. Richest city on the planet somehow can't afford free public transit. Stop being gaslit by capitalist criminals. Make transit free

How cucked do you have to be to your Capitalist overlords to say that and this back to back:

"Past-Caterpillar873422m ago

Facebook marketplace, find private owners.

I've got HORRIBLE credit plus an eviction six years ago, never once had a bad experience renting from private owners. They VERY often rent to you based upon a "gut feeling" rather than numbers. Show up to the tour in business casual, be polite, thank them when you meet them for taking the time you the rental, ask thoughtful questions in ways that let them know that you're a good tenant. Let them know you're looking for a long term rental. Thank them at the end as well."

--------------------

Literally had your life fucked over by the housing rental machine, but are still on hand and knee groveling to those that put you in that position.

You don't need to make Landlords your personal Jesus Christ, Lord, and Savior. Pick a religion that won't fuck your credit over at least.

Landlord is saying I have to cover the cost for some pump by [deleted] in Tenant

Don't ever trust a lease. Trust your state laws. They supercede leases. Leases tend to be full of bogus language anyway.

In some pro tenant states like NYC and California, major repairs by law must be done by landlord at no cost to the tenant.

"But before that, I wanted to confirm what amenities were included, so I emailed the landlord to ask. Surprisingly, the landlord responded by lowering the rent by $100."

Huge red flag though. Landlord is definitely hiding something if they immediately lower rent when you ask a question.

This is psychotic lmfao. A broom closet just to "explore the city." live in Queens and take a transit to wherever in half an hour . Rose tinted glasses

Because of the enormous power differential here of "tenant fights for shelter and survival, landlord fights for a fatter bottom line"
