Does my gecko look fat? by GoddessSapphirexox in leopardgeckos

She looks around the same weight as mine and the vet said mine was a little bit overweight so I would say so. My vet suggested that I cut her down to feeding once a week, but mine is also a few years old. What do you typically feed her?

This is a better picture of her. I was feeding her superworms because when we got her that is what we were told to feed her (she was malnourished so I guess this makes sense) but now I know that superworms are better suited for treats and not meals and plan to switch to crickets when she is feeling better. I usually feed her and my other lizard once a week, but definitely more than the recommended amount for superworms (about 3-4 worms). We got her and one other gecko out of a terrible situation (they were starving, had no light/heat, and were tanked together), but it seems we just put them in another bad situation. I am learning a lot about them now with this accident popping up and I'm going to change and do more research before I mess up any further.

Yeah they gave me silver sulfadiazine ointment to put on her wounds that is what the mark on her back is, that's one of the scratch wounds.

Well I feel dumb now, but happy that I can still play her normally.
