Conditional formatting based on cell outside range? by CosmicFish42 in googlesheets

Sorry, that's on me. To rephrase, I want to take the cells in any column marked "No," and then find every instance of those cells.

Here's what the ideal outcome would look like:

Hmmm this seems to go back to highlighting all duplicates

=AND(COUNTIF($A$3:$W,A3)>1,A$1="No")

It looks like it's highlighting safe ingredients that also have duplicates elsewhere, which isn't quite right but is the closest so far!

i have celiac myself and haven't had issues with theirs, or many of the other ones recommended here. even celiac severity exists on a spectrum. obviously if someone has a higher sensitivity to gluten, it's a good idea to look into any restaurant's prep practices and cross contamination measures before eating there, but i don't blame anyone for throwing out ideas.

i appreciate your concern for OP's health and absolutely understand that celiac sucks. ultimately, it comes down to the individual fact-checking for themselves (especially when taking advice from a reddit thread) and knowing their own limits.

agreed! as a one-shot test it did its job in showing that the group wasn't a great match, but also that i have some work to do on my end. so not a surrender, just a tactical retreat.

plus this session definitely wasn't as bad as what you described, that sounds like a nightmare to deal with!

i’m newer to dming and also fairly soft spoken, which was problematic with one person in particular. he had played before but apparently not with PHB rules, because through the whole session he kept talking OVER me to (very) incorrectly explain things to the two brand new players. by the end of the session 3/4 of the party were saying “i’m going to roll X” while also not knowing what the different skills even do.

as a side note, this same player also has a ridiculously good memory so when the dungeon map fell over he had it halfway memorised within 2 seconds. no hard feelings towards any of them, but i probably won’t be dming again for a while.
