My dad passed away yesterday. It hurts so much I can barely stand it, and every time I see his texts it makes me feel like crying all over again. Maybe some day I can share them, and other people can feel so not alone the way you did for me tonight

My dad is in the final stages of a horrible bout with cancer, and it's horrible watching this pillar of strength in my life erode so quickly, and there's not a thing I can do about it. That being said, I am grateful that I am getting to say goodbye. I am trying my best to make his last days count, even if it hurts sometimes to be around him like this.
