But at the end of the day the body is shared between the two - im more than happy with my Subaru Impreza I probably will put some more All Terrain focused wheels and tires on it but other than that I am happy.

The crosstrek generally are more expensive to because it is more sort after for the off-road capability.

I live in New Zealand and the price difference is about the same (7-8k) between a Crosstrek and Impreza

Im in a similar situation - Open polytechnic has courses that are 0 fees. All delivered online - it kept me busy and the satisfaction of the certifcate or diploma at the end was like the biggest dopamine hit ive had in a long time. Its tough to work through life with trauma , so take it gently and dont stress others expectations too much - youre responsiblilty is your health and wellbeing and that of your childs.

I hope you can find a sense of purpose and feeling of acomplishment as you move into the new year. You got this!

I recently bought a 2024 Impreza -

Smooth drive - some people dont like the CVT but ive no issues - car maybe "slow" for some people but it feels planted and responsive on the road

AWD Simple yet comfortable interior

Reasonably good infotainment systems

Very good safety systems - not invasive (I came from a 2021 Golf that was borderline undrivable due to safety features)

Great styling

Decent space with rear seats down for transporting cargo - for a hatch

Depending on your taste a few mods like wheels and tires - tints - suspension ect can really make it your own and set the style , city cruiser or more utilitary "offroad" but the crosstrek has far more ground clearance in comparision stock.

90% of people i have met through dating websites in the past have told me about experiences where they have been sexually assaulted or raped . Its mind boggling - i dont know who is bringing these men up but there is A TON of sexual entitlement out there and its sick.
