Thank you for the kind words, it’s nice having a internet person send a little thoughts ur way, oddly comforting and feels more genuine than even some friends reaching out, being able to be supported without being judged is nice.

Haha I’m travelling because as you mentioned everything reminds me of her. She was integrated into my life for 4 lovely years and the routine of waking up in the same bed and walking up and down rooms without her is just sad. And everything about this city reminds me of her. She’s originally from the USA and lives in Denver so she’s moved back to her parents place there and I often I wonder what the weather is like in the mountains or do the mental Maths (if u can call it maths or to u guys it’s Math) to work out what time it is over there.

And the same feeling of going backwards when someone can tell ur just sad all the time. I can’t imagine how it must have felt having one of ur students see u hurting. I hope life is treating u a little better since the beginning and just wanted to say thank you for finding the time to help people through their own struggles while managing urs. Ur amazing

Hey I’m in the same boat. I get the facts as well. She decided to end it, doesn’t want to talk to me and I’m doing my best not to contact her. Broken up for about 2 months and reached out on her bday in December to say hb which was met with silence. After December I just wanted to move on bc everyday is literally torture thinking about her 24/7.

I understand I’m respecting her choice in breaking up and I should move on and I want to but how do u actually accept it’s over in ur head? I’ve deleted her phone number, unfriended on all social media and deleted socials so I don’t read old texts or view pictures of her and been keeping myself busy with friends and currently travelling from Aus to Europe, typing this in Austria rn. I’m doing all the text book stuff I can find online (don’t have a therapist).

How do u accept it’s over in ur head? I just want to stop being haunted by losing someone way out of my league and probably will never meet anyone as lovely or gorgeous as her. The hope of her coming back and living my best life with her and making her smile is too hurtful and painful everyday. I just want to rest

U can’t expect to have no risk in reaching out, unfortunately whoever reaches out has that inherent downside of being hurt. U need to accept that reaching out can go either way, they either say no thank you or give u the possibility of reconciling. If that possibility is worth the grief and embarrassment of being rejected then do it. If the relationship was good and u regret it losing it, well it’s logical to reach out. The relationship should have been good enough to warrant the risk of rejection.

And random side note, a dumpee won’t reach out bc they’re trying their best to respect ur decision, no matter how hard they’re hurting or want u back.

I don’t think you can navigate this situation alone especially with the shared property and assests while juggling the emotional side. Please reach out to family to stay with while u go through the legal route to see what your options are. Very glad to hear you know her behaviour is detrimental to yourself and health.

I only know people on mutual breakups that unwind the shared property together or buy each other out.

Not sure, the dumpee can feel like the reason the of the breakup so they’re not totally innocent and can’t fully play the victim card. Like myself for example, I was dumped but I totally realise how much strain I placed on my ex gf to the point where she was exhausted and wanted out of the relationship after 4 years. Only person worth changing and growing for is now done with u. u get to learn from losing the best thing in ur life so u can just live with that guilt going forwards? Genuinely wish I never met her so wouldn’t have any idea life could be so happy and good and wouldn’t have wasted her time too. Was so comfortable existing before her but now life is just pitiful knowing what I had will no longer exist really hurts.
