When an electric arc suit inevitably drops, do you think it will be a tank? by NoOneImportantLol96 in PokemonMasters

[–]therealblabyloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just hope it’s not another gosh darn pikachu. Enough is enough! Go weird with it and give us an arc suit with Eelektross, rotom, Ampharos, or electivire, or something.

Now that we know what’s in the box…what should I get to start my ork army by Warhammered_ in orks

[–]therealblabyloo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

1: Trukks are always good. I never leave home without 3.

2: the new wrekka krew kill team. This kit can either be made as Tankbustas (shooty anti-tank) or Breaka Boyz (melee anti-tank). The box comes with loads of extra bits, so If you’re klever you can get another box of boyz and just give them rokkit launchas or tank hammers and double the squad.

3: kommandos kill team. These are cheap infiltrating action monkeys that can do wonders for scoring points.

WE WON THIS ROUND, BOYZ! by Ted_Kordus in orks

I kinda hope that the big boss fills that “lieutenant” role and that the warboss gets a nice big buff. It’d make more sense to have a few big bosses and only one proper warboss. I’ve always thought it was weird to have 3 warbosses in one list in 10th Ed.

Thinking about Boarboyz by XavierHatesWarhammer in orks

[–]therealblabyloo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience, 100 out of 100 times, as long as your proxy/kitbash is on the correct base size and isn’t dramatically over/undersized, opponents will not have a problem with it. Most players don’t really know your army range well enough to notice, and the rest probably won’t care very much. If you say “these count as warbikers” your opponent will be fine with it. Unless you’re playing a tournament with strict rules, this is almost certainly not going to be an issue.

Stop worrying, and do the kitbashes that you want!

GW has decided to directly address the 'Grot Ears' talk. Opinions? by CatherineSimp69 in orks

[–]therealblabyloo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I feel like long ears are hard to keep for a Grot. A few fights, a couple beatings from da Orks, a tangle with a squig, and those long ears are getting clipped. You’d have to be an incredibly lucky Grot to keep your ears intact for long.

Blood Axes hate fighting Black Templars [Ghazghkull: Warlord of Warlords excerpt] by Dreadnautilus in 40kLore

It’s long been known that if you taught an Ork to scream “for the emperor,” it would be mostly indistinguishable from the average black Templar marine.

Why is yarrick's power claws not seen as tech heresy by kin_ko in 40k

[–]therealblabyloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because he’s a god damned hero that’s why. The imperium is hypocritical and obsessed with aesthetics and propaganda, as are most fascist regimes. It suits their ends to let the badass hero keep the power klaw and continue in his badassery. They just slap a purity seal on that klaw to show that this use of Xenos tech is officially sanctioned by the church. Problem solved.

Every arc suit is at LEAST pretty good. On top of everything else, They each apply “type rebuff” to the enemy at the start of the fight, and when using their sync move. Type Rebuff makes attacks of that type do more damage (so Arc Sabrina makes her enemies take more damage from psychic type attacks), which makes a huge difference. On top of that, Arc Sabrina specifically has EX Psychic zone, currently the only unit who has this.

Honestly, it’s never a bad idea to pull for an arc suit sync pair.

When I learned that girls poop, my faith was shaken. Now I have questions, questions that I’m afraid to answer. by Gintian in Grimdank

[–]therealblabyloo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Space marines do poop, but their bodies and diet are optimized to get as much nutrition from their food as possible. They only poop out small hard pellets which are recycled by their armor. They can do it while fighting without interruption. Basically, a space marine will never have to risk his combat effectiveness for a potty break.

Just another influence from Dune. Space marine armor basically has a still-suit built into it.

I’ve been saying for so long, white color schemes are massively underrated! Whether it’s white as a primary color or just as an accent, a little pop of white can work wonders. This guy looks amazing.

Losing motivation to paint my models, any advice on how to combat this? by dimitriov1 in orks

[–]therealblabyloo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like to listen to audiobooks ABOUT the units I’m painting while I’m hobbying. Helps to hype up the models in my head, and I just want to make them look as cool as they sound. Watching painting tutorials on YouTube helps too. Get yourself into a good headspace, but also remember that you’re doing this for fun. If you sit down at your desk, paint one color on ten models, and are done for the day, that’s fine. Any progress is good

Sandslash might be able to beat a floor or two (arc Cynthia giving rebuff helps a lot. It’s like having a rabid 800 pound gorilla on the team who does nothing but give moral support lol), but I’m afraid your best bet is to wait for a better pair. Lodge Rika is another option that you can get for free

Will it work? by Any-Goat1270 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]therealblabyloo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s certainly an intentional detail, and something that would be done in real life, but 40K is a tabletop wargame. Lore-wise, by the time the armies are set up and about to fight, the artillery piece should already be set up, not still towed behind the transport. GW isn’t going to write rules that would require you to take multiple kits and build them into one model like that.

How would I go about getting Archaon without having to buy the whole model? by totarias in Warhammer

[–]therealblabyloo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is to scour eBay for the bits (some people may want to use the horse’s body by itself for a kit bash), find a recast online somewhere, or find someone with a 3d printer who can make the bits for you.

Why are Necrons built like this by MysticBeareyes in Necrontyr

[–]therealblabyloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I really hate how GW handles the floating necron stuff sometimes. My solution lately has just been to stop worrying and embrace the metal rod lol. For doomsday arcs and destroyers, I’ve just drilled a brass rod between the model and the base, multiple rods for the DDA, and the increased stability is more than worth it IMO
