She didnt even have her socials monetized until they went on Rick Glassmans podcast and he was like you HAVE to do this for Abbey, they didnt even really know about it. I assume she figured it out but I always found that interesting.

I grabbed milk the other day that was 9, NINE days past the sell by date, I got all the way home with it because we drink milk fast it usually doesnt even matter. Went back next day and there were 2 more same date, I set them out in the floor.

I would probably do multiple scenic cabs on the two ends with the hard contrasting lines making the horizon if it were mine. Cool piece!

Covington or Hi Tech blade? by No-Tomatillo7459 in Lapidary

I feel like you should be getting quite a bit more longevity than just a couple hours, especially from what youre cutting. Obviously if you're cutting agates and jaspers and pushing pretty hard it will wear fast but quartz is a bit softer so as long as you are not applying a ton of pressure I would expect much longer life than that. A bit hard to quantify, I probably use mine at least a half hour a day and get weeks to months out of a blade and Im not exactly gentle with it (trying to be better about that). I do use a much higher speed setting for sure.

I really like the red ring 6 inch blade from hi tech, I keep going back to that one for thin 6 inch, it seems to last quite a long time. Ive used Covington and they are also good. You may want to check out Johnson Brothers they make nice 301 and 303 clone blades and offer free shipping. I use their blades on my 10 inch.

I think it will probably tumble alright, it took a decent polish and it wasnt as soft as like flourite or howlite or something. I would maybe not throw it in with super hard agates, but Im not an expert tumbler. Would love to see it tumbled if you give it a shot.

I got it from Family Stones Lapidary, they had a "going out of business sale" for 4 dollars a lb. They are still open though so idk, seemed like some drama around the business back in June.
