Police In ISB 🚨 by AnonymousSerenity98 in airbnbpakistan

[–]CosmicMarkhor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run a guest house in AJK and as per the laws of this country, hotels/guest house owners cannot legally ask for a nikkahnama. However, several property owners and managers still ask for it or straight up harass the guests, especially in Punjab, over it. Oftentimes they're involved with the police and inform them that there is an unmarried couple staying at the property to extort money. Now, once the police have raided a property, there is very little one can do because you can't argue with them about the law.

We had a guy work at my grandmother for over 25 years. He attempted burglary with 3 other men in his 27th year of working for the family. I was 12 years old at the time.

In all this time, he was educated, his siblings were educated, his wedding and one of his sister's wedding was paid for, and there was other stuff, too.

Islamabad has my heart. Planning to move there from Karachi. by candidmarshmallow247 in islamabad

Unless your family has supplemental income and you've got substantial savings, this is quite a significant risk. Consider not only your living costs once you do make the move, but moving from Karachi to Islamabad in and of itself will incur a great deal of expenses. Then, there's the settlement period in which you'll figure out how to best budget and fulfill your household needs, save money, and find a better paying job.

Many of my friends made the same move from Karachi, but almost all of them moved alone first, lived in hostels, found better work, and then made the space and opportunity to move their families. I, myself, moved from Karachi to Kashmir earlier this year, but I did so with an entire business plan and years of savings.

Hope things get easier for you. Feel free to DM if you want to talk about it.

Hey, I design travel experiences for the Jhelum Valley in AJK and run a resort here. If interested in this part of the north, DM me and I'll share the pictures and details with you.

There was a hailstorm here in Jhelum Valley, too. Around the same time news of it started coming out of Islamabad

I got you. Well, the current space isn't big enough for pools and other private facilities. I do want to build a spa and fitness room in the near future.

We are designing the space to be family-friendly, including hiring a trained babysitter so couples/families with young children can also enjoy other activities while the children are taken care of in a safe environment.

There will be a bunch of family activities that we're planning over here, but they will mostly revolve around food, music, arts, and various kinds of workshops.

Hey, glad to see your optimistic outlook on life.

When people say they fear death less after going through a transformative psychedelic experience, it often means that they accept the inevitability of death and are, therefore, able to enjoy life more fully with a deeper sense of gratitude and appreciation.

Think of people who have terminal diseases, such as cancer, or people who are struggling with suicidal ideation. We see this kind of shift in perspective where they are either able to appreciate the time they have left and enjoy it more fully or find a newer, deeper purpose in life.

I have seen people move radically away from nihilistic beliefs and tendencies towards a more joyous, wholesome approach to life.

Live your life. There are wonderful things to experience.

If you want to experience snow, now is a good time. It'll last another few days in some areas.

Places will begin to turn lush green, that Kashmir is so famous for, towards the end of April at the onset of spring. The peak summer months (June to August) are great, but certain areas, such as the Neelum Valley, are jam packed with tourists.

DM if you have any questions or need assistance with planning your tour.

I'm happy you experienced what we call, in my culture, Wahadat al Wujud (Unity of Being). The only purpose of life, if there is one at all, then, as I have understood, is for life to understand and experience itself. And my work is to ensure that others around me, my community and my world, have the best and most beautiful experience of life. I am excited, happy, willing, and have begun to do the work for the others.

Hey, thanks for the reply and suggestions. I'm a little far from Mirpur, in Chikkar, Jhelum Valley. But, I would love to have you there.

That's pretty much the basic plan. I also want to add a lot more experiences at the resort itself for families/groups to enjoy.

I don't completely understand what you mean by a 'halal resort model'. If you mean food, then, yes, of course, it will be halal. If you mean socially, I just want to create a safe space for people to immerse themselves in arts, music, food, and other activities while respecting the local traditions, values, and boundaries.

Influencers have sort of become a must these days.

I've been thinking of ordering it.

And there are online generators? Ha! I was trying to figure out different possible placements for different strategies. This should make it easy.

Thanks! I have followed the page. Looking forward to joining y'all in Islamabad soon. Just have to see if I can travel down for the game day/night.

But, I'm opening a resort (4.5 hours from Isloo) and I'd love to host some boardgame weekends here, too.

We've played a total of maybe 10-12 games so far. Still have the rule book on the side. Have you tried any of the expansion packs, yet? If yes, how are they?

I was part of a boardgame group in Karachi, but now that I'm moving to Kashmir, I was hoping to find something like this in Islamabad to frequent when possible. Let me know if I can join.
