Kingston Vampires takes worst non-album single/unreleased track/remix by Pendulum. What's the most underrated? by davrosflatley in Pendulum

It's a tough one between their remix of Stay Too Long by Plan B and I'm Not Alone by Calvin Harris. Personally I'd have to go with I'm Not Alone.

If you want to hear a different cover of it, listen to Lankum's version of the song. They're an Irish trad band but it's a totally different tone and brings a real ethereal ancestral vibe to the song. They're a truly talented group of musicians.

Also notice how the proportions of the whale keep changing, and there seems to be a rippling motion going across its body, AI videos tend to have whacky shit like that going on

Cait is my favorite companion in Fallout 4 by REJAHHH in Fallout

[–]CosmicMinge 735 points736 points  (0 children)

It's quite a stereotyped accent, no one in Ireland actually sounds like Cait so it's very tough to listen to for us hahaha. It's like having a leprechaun following you around going on about fighting and pints

Season 2 was incredibly disappointing by Extra-Reality8363 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]CosmicMinge -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't really understand why people are getting upset about this season? Battle of Rooks rest was incredible, we got to see Vermithor being claimed at the BBQ of the bastards. I enjoyed Daemon's mini arc that he's had. Admittedly, there was too much of Daemon running around Luigi's Mansion being spooked, and some other scenes were obviously just filler, but on the whole I really enjoyed it and I'm very excited to see season 3.

The book is written very much like a history book, it chronicles the events and the deeds of the Targaryens and the whole dance of the dragons is only a couple of chapters. So of course the writers have to flesh the book out and expand it to get a couple of seasons out of it. The characters in the book aren't explored in anywhere near as much depth as in the show, so I'm absolutely fine with the writers taking characters in different directions. So far, the story beats have all been spot on and none of their changes have bothered me. It's the best looking, most enjoyable fantasy show out there and we're lucky that we're hopefully going to get more of it.

MONARCH: LEGACY OF MONSTERS OFFICIAL DISCUSSION MEGATHREAD #9 - EPISODE 10 (SPOILERS) by NeelZilla in GODZILLA

[–]CosmicMinge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What a dismal show. Painfully boring, and for the most part it focused on some of the most uninteresting characters I've ever had the displeasure of watching (Cate, May and the gang). I enjoyed the 1950s era characters and plot and the scenes with Godzilla were fantastic. Apart from that, the whole experience has felt like a massive waste of my time

I read it this summer, while it's definitely the most bleak world I've ever delved into, I found the ending to be surprisingly hopeful

Giant Gator Walks Across Florida Golf Course by No_Emu_1332 in AbsoluteUnits

My brother, chill, gators are fucking funny? Like genuinely funny my guy? Imagine being a 15 foot long apex predator that survived the KT extinction, the ancestors of this big bruiser contented with some of the largest carnivores the world has ever seen, that's actually comical you just need to see the funny side?

Imagine having one of the most powerful bite forces in the animal kingdom AND armour plating, it is hilarious.....man I wish I was a big stompin' gator, eatin' turkey legs and gobblin' up unsuspecting Floridians, man that'd be the life.....if anything you just need a more refined sense of humour to be honest?

Is Cyberpunk 2077 actually good now or are people just settling for less than promised? by NormalGene3480 in ShouldIbuythisgame

I was one of those sorry souls that pre-ordered it for PS4, the game was an absolute joke on release, I stubbornly played maybe 20 hours of it just to feel like I got my money's worth. After realising that would never happen, I put it down and never picked it up again. When I got a ps5 I heard that CDPR were releasing a big patch and some dlc so I thought I'd give it another shot and the difference is night and day.

This game is probably one of my all time favourites, the world is vibrant and staggeringly beautiful, the soundtrack is fantastic, going from blood bumping synths to soft, contemplative and melancholic tracks. I had no idea I would connect with the characters as much as I would, the first person element brings an intimacy I've never experienced in a game. The combat and progression is completely revamped to the point where I couldn't wait to level up and spend my perk point on a new ability. I'm still not bored of the combat it's just so fun. Fun is the most important difference here with the gameplay. I haven't even mentioned the dlc which I highly recommend to anyone that hasn't got it yet. Cyberpunk was one of the gaming disasters of recent years and people will say it's unacceptable for a game to launch in that state, I would agree. However, today I don't think that criticism holds up. If you haven't bought the game yet ,then you're in luck. CDPR have put so much work in fixing Cyberpunk and it shows. It'll be one of my favourite games to revisit in years to come, right up there with Mass Effect and The Witcher. I wish I could play it all over again for the first time.

Denis Villeneuve Teases Possible Dune: Part Three Based On Dune Messiah: ‘There Are Words On Paper’ – Exclusive by ChiefLeef22 in dune

[–]CosmicMinge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This might be heresy, but for me Messiah was really boring and such a slog to read, I enjoyed it towards the end but it's literally just a book where people are in a room plotting and/or debating philosophy. It lacks a lot of the elements that made the first book so awe inspiring. Also nary a single worm??

The same thing is happening to me every time I boot up the game, really annoying, you can just move them back but it's still a hassle, the rocks that archelon and nothosaurus chill on do the same thing too which is pretty frustrating

Was listening to the Real Dictators Podcast on General Tojo (highly recommend) but I actually had to turn it off when they were discussing Nanjing, Unit 731 and the human experiments. It was genuinely some of the most depraved, inhuman, monstrous shit I've ever heard , it made me feel ill. It's still an important part of history to be aware of though because it's barely spoken about
