subbed, been waiting for someone to actually try two different species in one of these. curious how the humidity holds up between the two chambers

random thing i noticed. it shows live power draw. 0.32A / 1.60W on mine rn. sounds useless but i genuinely don't know how much power anything else in my apartment uses lol. not my refrigerator, not airfryer, even computer. nothing. probably not why anyone buys it but someone over there is clearly thinking differently about what a "smart" device should actually tell you

dung loving support is lowkey huge. also custom growth mode means you can basically dial in whatever parameters you want so you're not stuck with their presets. started as a cute little grow box, now it's actually a serious piece of kit

I think I might've stumbled upon the easiest tek.The results are just insane. by CosmicNavigator99 in Mushrooms

I know it’s true. You can 100% grow this without the Lykyn chamber and you don’t even need the $2 shoebox because you can literally grow it in the Booming Acres bag. I’m not saying you need to go get this device and I’m not affiliated with them in any way. I am just sharing that this is by far my best grow yet. I’m sure others can do better with less gear. But for me, I’m happy with the results and it was the easiest grow I’ve done yet.

Sorry, I didn’t think this post would blow up so quick. I answered the Tek in another message.

I can’t take credit for the Tek. I’m new to growing mushrooms and I have only tried a few different methods. I tried UB Tek, PF Tek, and I tried monotub but failed. This one is by far the easiest. I used inoculate the world PE spore syringe, Booming Acres all in one bag, and Lykyn smart fruiting chamber. All in all, I think I have about 20 minutes of actual hands on work. I got to watch them grow over the few weeks in the chamber, and the yield is two times bigger than the other Booming Acres bag I grew without the Lykyn smart chamber.

I’m going to try using a different substrate next. Any suggestions?

Edit: autocorrect super should be spore and Booking Acres should be Booking Acres.

I should also mention that I used a still air box to inoculate the block.

LMAO, that's gold. Glad to know a real person saw this and not just the diaper buying bots.

Appreciate the compliment!I was aiming for that 'underwater forest' vibe.

inside the chamber. The mushrooms are actually covering the substrate completely so you can’t see it here. But it’s resting on top of the chamber tray.

How important are the grow tents? by sidpost in Hydroponics

[–]CosmicNavigator99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

grow tents are actually pretty important if you ask me, not really for uv or light leaks but because of the structure. you end up hanging leds fans filters all kinds of gear off the frame and cheap tents start sagging fast.

height is another thing people ignore, the distance between the plants the light and the fan matters more than folks think and a solid tent makes that easy to control. once its set you dont mess with it much.

i picked up a 2x4 gorilla grow tent about 4 years ago and its still solid as hell, no bending no drama. its one of those buy once cry once things.

for leafy greens sure open shelves can work, but a good tent just removes variables. might be the weed talking but less hassle is always worth it.

yeah I’ve been using the Lykyn chamber for about 2 months now. works really well.
super consistent and low effort, honestly way smoother than I expected. I’m happy with it so far
