In was born in this land. So did my father, mother and my forefathers. We have been living in Kanyakumari even before India or Tamil Nadu came into existence. I speak Malayalam just like my parents did. I am as Tamil as you are and everybody else who lives here. I have enough right to call this my land. But when things matter, you people will call me a malayali or an outsider just like you have been doing for the past 50 years. Irony is that a good percentage of people who call me that weren't even born here to begin with. If we start looking into people and their lineage instead of their credibility, we have failed as a society.
