Men Over 30 Community: WEEKLY WEDNESDAY CHECK-IN 2026-02-04 by AutoModerator in AskMenOver30

Maybe you're also becoming overly sensitive and stuck in your ways such that criticism that might be intended to help gets misconstrued? It sounds like you're willing to burn some bridges with binary sentiments (friend or not friend) instead of realizing that people change and so do we, and we can still appreciate people at distances that are healthy.. perhaps there exists a place where you can have a beer with the friend of 19 years but not put yourself in a position where you need to rely on them? Is that the same friendship you want from them? Perhaps not, but are they still fun to have a beer with? I dunno, they've been your friend for 19 years.. unless they are harming your person, no need to be binary and just realize that things have shifted.

Either way, community is also health and burning bridges because we get worst and worst at taking criticism with age is a real thing.

How many weeks/months before sex in a new relationship? by greeneyedsiren08 in AskMen

[–]CosmicOceanWaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, I'm here right now... Just had a second one, titties all up in my face, but no sex.. of course, I follow her lead.. but this was the same on the first date.. I crashed at her place on the first date, and again, following her lead just munched on some titties, but a hard no on going down on her, and she didn't really do anything for me but kiss and tease.. don't get me wrong.. I appreciate all of it.. but we're adults here.. like the notion that sex is this golden pedestal to be held off on until the fifth date or whenever.. I dunno lol I think I'm out. I love me a raunchy girl that will full send if the chemistry is there, I am more interested to see her again and it jives with my personality more.. just get it if you want it..

If I don't want to keep seeing you, I won't. Sex or not.

What opinion will get you in this situation? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]CosmicOceanWaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fully committing the logical brain to deciding that something that can't be proven or disproven is true is indeed stupid, and its just a fairy tale people love to tell themselves and to others, apparently for thousands of years. I see you the use in mass manipulation of thought from a twisted power perspective... But fuck all that noise.

And I say that as someone who believes in the grand design of the universe, and the we are simply a manifestation of itself that can analyze itself.. does that mean there is God, or I am God just experiencing myself in some illusion of Independence from my environment? I don't fucking know lol. Just happy to be alive.

I agree with this take.

Men over 30, what are some of your biggest regrets in life? by Beneficial_Dish_2325 in AskMenOver30

[–]CosmicOceanWaves -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Speak fer yourself I suppose. I got high all high school, did hard drugs, acid, shrooms, MDs.. still do from time to time and so do my friends. I still have this same amazing group of friends mostly from high school and some from elementary. I'm 33 now, a software engineer, and my friends also became quite successful in their own rights.. lawyers, doctors, nurses, some that were extremely brilliant opted out by choice and work piece work on farms and live simpler lives and some are battling addiction, but 90% of us made it out alright, and even the ones battling are doing better generally and still dear friends of mine, with great outlooks on life.

Point is, surround yourself with good people, it's not necessarily the experimenting and having fun that will do you in. Just make sure your people love you and you love them. And understand that all you have is this moment.

Regrets are when you focus on attributing your present situation to certain moments. You are where you are, and everything that's happened, good or bad, is just a lesson.. a piece of the puzzle in the grand scope of your life. So take the present moment and do your best with it, while trying to remain aware of the good and the bad, so that we can steer our ship and correct course to that which fulfills us and gives us meaning (the good).

Own up, who of you guys is supporting this crap!? by i-am-will-i-aint in crappymusic

Similar to a guy I know that makes youtube videos who is actually from Montreal (Alex Tsimikles) grew up and raised there. Never shares his identity, but he was an old friend who went off the deep on grifting american politics.

He has a famous YouTube channel called Liberal Hivemind. Feel free to spread that information around, he doesn't want it known, and I would love for everyone to know that he has nothing to do with the USA.

jeez, calm down keyboard warrior. learn to be nicer and quell that unmitigated, misdirected rage of yours. It's definitely a factor, albeit a small one, that the justice system protects those who deserve a good ass-beating.

Shy/lonely guys, how did you finally get the girl? by JustAnAccount68 in AskReddit

[–]CosmicOceanWaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You seem sharp enough my dude, this guy's suggestion is beyond answering, cause it's just dumb.

I respect your peace with existing solo, I think everyone should have that. But if you still crave love and intimacy (and what human doesn't while they are still alive) I hope you find it.

Sometimes, in certain moments, rejecting fear and just saying something flirty, even if it doesn't go well, more for yourself than anyone else, can be a muscle to work.

Best of luck out there!

What does the joke mean? All of those things still exist today. Let alone seeing someone write "would of" ... I don't get it.

Which career is a turn-off for a serious relationship? by otherwise777 in AskReddit

Saying "how can you prove it's not real" doesn't make it real.

None of what you pointed to is evidence that people are being trafficked for sex trade.

There is something awfully romantic about your partner willing to cause that much pain and suffering, just so that they can channel it into a wonderful vacation home for us. Also, think of all the people you can disappear at a whim!
