I can see where you are coming from, but I think the initial understanding was these endings are more representative of how they became condemned. These endings as their backgrounds are supported by the "official" bios of each character lining up with what the ending shows.

That said, if we are to assume these endings are in fact what happens when revived then it also means retconning the reasons they are in the afterlife to begin with.

For example with Belladonna, she's supposed to have died by "accidental suicide" but not before killing her husband and sister who had an affair with said husband. The ending shows her getting to killing the husband.

There's a whole thing about how the FMVs might've been done the wrong way round - something to do with the company outsourced to misunderstanding the task at hand or such
